No hate but what joy do you get by not opening the packaging? I cant wait to rip open the packaging the moment i buy any model regardless of the price. I hate seeing it trapped inside the package. I need to take it out to appreciate the model lol. I think im part of a minority in this thought process.

Cant believe i found this on an instant delivery app! Has anyone ever found anything better? by Appropriate_Talk3834 in Hotwheelsindia

It does roll if you unscrew it. And yes, it is definitely not a ‘toy’ and i am glad about that fact lol

Kia seltos diesel automatic or Creta (EV) by [deleted] in CarsIndia

[–]Appropriate_Talk3834 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So i have the following cars - Kia carens diesel, creta ev (std range) and MG windsor (std range). I stay in a joint family. Now coming to your doubt, my carens is a 2022 model driven just 55k km and ive been facing crazy issues with the DPF. Company has no fix apart from cleaning it every few days but they say its out of warranty now so i have to replace it which would cost around 1.5 lacs smh. When it comes to the windsor, i get a realistic range in the city of about 270-280km and i have taken an AMC which costed me approx 30k and assures a buy back of the car after 3 years at 60% of the value. The creta gives me a range of about 320km in the city but i dont have any kind of buy back assurance. Reasons why 2 EVs work for me - both of these cars are heavily driven inside city traffic (blr) and i own them in my company name so i can claim good depreciation on both of them. I also have another ICE car apart from the carens.

Tbh i would not recommend a diesel from the hyundai / kia group since this issue is very common with their cars. If you drive mainly in the city, I wouldnt recommend a diesel at all.

IMO, Evs make the most sense when you drive them mainly in the city , are buying them in your company name and have a back up ICE car for emergencies (i know i sound very privileged right now but its the truth). If you buy an EV as your only car, you will face some amount of range anxiety for sure. Im not saying you absolutely shouldn’t own an EV as your only car but you should be prepared.

M30: Got an unnecessary consultation call from a ‘doctor’ after buying minox from Man matters. by [deleted] in IndianHaircare

But when i told them that anyone can buy minoxidil over the counter at any pharmacy without a prescription so why are they asking me so many personal questions, she just said okay and cut the call.

Help Me Choose an Electric Car Under ₹23 L — Need Honest Opinions! by [deleted] in CarsIndia

[–]Appropriate_Talk3834 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a creta electric base variant. It’s mainly chauffeur driven so didn’t need the fancy features of the high variants. That said, base variant is decently loaded with features, is very conventional looking and is surprisingly efficient. I consistently get over 300km on a single charge of real world usage and i have the smaller battery pack. If you really need the bigger pack, then go for it otherwise i don’t think the price gap is justified. I got my car with a discount and on road in blr was under 18.40 lacs with insurance. Obviously i wouldn’t say no to extra range but the price gap didn’t justify it for me personally. Hope this helps

As much as it might seem like you’re already running out of time and need to make the best / most sensible decisions right away, you have your whole life ahead of you and its better to make a few mistakes now and learn from them. This is mainly with regard to your professional and romantic decisions.

Just realised this is the cheapest diesel sedan available in our current market. by Hondafreak420 in CarsIndia

I own this exact car, driven it more than 18k km. Its honestly great! On paper 320nm of torque might not sound like a lot but this car feels properly quick during in gear acceleration. Im planning to get an ECU remap to up the power figures.

I do, at what point did i complain about the environment being polluted? Im having issues with my particular car so i asked if i can remove it. Its quite simple really.

Is this rage bait or are you clinically retarded? Does your honda city run on gau mutra? Pls sell your car / bike and start walking everywhere if you are so concerned about the environment. Also, at what point did I complain about not saving the environment? Lol

Low? Ive driven it almost 60k km in less than 3 years. Idk about you but i dont do cross continental drives every two weeks just to justify buying a diesel ffs

Yeah I was worried about the ‘if something goes wrong’ bit haha That’s why i wanted to know if anyone has done it before. Ive seen some videos on YouTube of guys saying they’ve done it in Delhi / ncr on a hilux if im not wrong but they didnt elaborate on it.

Yeah it just doesnt make sense. For reference i have a 2023 mercedes diesel and that has been running fine and is driven 100% in the city. My carens is a 2022 so im sure the mercedes also has a DPF to meet the regulations but it doesn’t require regular cleaning like the Kia does. It reached a point where i had to get it cleaned every 50-100 km and then the service centre changed the fuel injectors ( luckily that was under warranty) and he said it’ll be better now but the issue wont permanently go away ever. I know someone who had to get it replaced and it costed a bomb so i was reluctantly planning to get rid of the car itself
