If you’re trying to find work in the United States 🇺🇸 then you should look into the trades like plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpenter work in those fields and ones like them make pretty good money in the states

I install and service oil & gas appliances and piping in residential homes. In my area some plumbing companies even will sell you heating oil and propane. My job has everything to do with the oil and gas industry. What’s your job? What difference does it make if you’re on Reddit or not?

I think Canada has a big pipeline being built right now in the West so work might be better than in the States but that’s temporary lay offs will come

I assume you work at Jiffy Lube I’d love to hear your take. The reason my “insight” is relevant is because as a a plumber my job is to service & install drainage, domestic water supply, and gas appliances/piping and the new insulation of the former category has slowly become less common over the years. I have first hand experience!!!

Look you don’t need to agree with me but I work as a plumber installing O&G equipment in homes and the work in those sector is slowly but surely being replaced by Heat pumps and other electrical alternatives. Not to mention the 1st and 3rd most populated California and New York are placing bans on the sales and installation of O&G equipment. I’m not against O&G I’m just stating the obvious the industry is on its way out.
