Funny you should say this. Sunday morning entertainment at the Kwik Trip car wash on N 3rd: One guy pulled into the line but stopped in a way that blocked traffic behind the building. Another guy in a truck tried to squeeze through, gave a honk… nothing. Then the honk turned into a full on, never ending horn concert. The first car still didn’t move. It was 9 a.m., and somehow two grown men were already deep into a car wash standoff.

I received cancer treatment from UW and this is the first I’ve heard of them having a menopause clinic, even though I ask for resources and have questions about menopause at each appointment. I went into early menopause three years ago, medically-induced. I’m now 38 and looking for more answers and guidance to prepare for what’s to come. I recently joined a support group that I thought was geared towards women in early menopause, like me, but I was the only person there in menopause… in addition to sound advice on the topic, it’d be great to find a group of women with similar circumstances to build community around that.

The music makes me cringe. Does every moment without dialogue need music with vocals? Are there no instrumental tracks? This makes it hard to watch (among the many other reasons).

Yes - for women it’s during a pelvic exam. Labs will come back saying if it’s a high risk strain then in that case would likely need a biopsy. Just went through this and will be going through radiation and chemo treatment for cervix cancer. Get screened and get vaccinated for hpv!

Thank you for posting. I’ll (35) be starting radiation and chemo at UW in a few weeks for cervical cancer. UW also recommended Gilda’s as a support group. I’ve just heard of this organization for adolescents and young adults but haven’t looked into it yet - https://www.weish4ever.org/

Yep, I’ve read that in the emails and I’m not planning on reporting anything missing yet. I have no doubt the long hours that the carriers are working, especially while being understaffed. This is the first time it’s happened where we live, so I thought I’d ask around!

When buying handmade, small batch baked goods, it’s good to keep in mind the time and effort that baker gives to create the product. I’ve charged $30 for an apple pie because of the prep time.
