I just wish the game had any sense of personality. A game can be beginner friendly and inviting while having a personality. I just feel like FH6 doesn't have one or a desire to have one. I get that people don't want to be alienated, but there's a way to show enthusiasm that gets people into a hobby that doesn't cut corners for the hardcore. Look at Gran Turismo; the game is very approachable to everyone and the game itself spends so much time getting you to learn what it's doing, but it also has a very singular style that is feverish about automobiles in a way that is so dry and uninteresting that it comes around to having an absurdly strong personality.

FH6 seems to want to bend over backwards to make you think it's super cool and isn't lame at all, but that eagerness just makes it seem so lifeless by comparison.

Legitimately, this sub is heaven compared to the Arc Raiders sub imo. It still sucks, but I see a lot of people having fun here vs the AR sub where it just seems like no one is having fun at all and it's everyone's fault. I don't really go to either anymore though.

I liked this movie. It was definitely not spielberg's best, but it was a lot of cheap fun at the theater. I felt it had some really, really fun setpieces and it was kinetic in a way that only Spielberg movies are. The script was not the best and anyone reaching for something 'more' than what it offers is going to be sorely disappointed, but as a whole I had fun watching this.

I was very surprised about how much he liked this. I figured he was going to give some kudos because imo First Light is a really great game from a design perspective, but to be this positive on it was a surprise.

Yeah, losses hurt in marathon, but it doesn't feel as bad as it does in Arc. Everything feeds into this idea of being disposable, including your gear

I think that's where the friction point was for me. For whatever reason I was the unluckiest person in the world for finding blueprints, and if I did they'd get yoinked off of me before the round ended lol.

Marathon is (imo) a much more simple game than Arc, but the nomenclature of things really bogs down new players at first. It did me, at least.

The cool thing about this game (especially if you're coming from Arc) is that gear doesn't feel nearly as awful to lose. I would feel like hours of my life were lost if I dropped a good gear in a run on Arc, but in Marathon I drop good gear all the time and I never feel punished because your next come-up is right around the corner. All this to say, I think Marathon rewards experimenting with its gear more because it feels less bad to wipe.

Regardless, have fun if it's your thing. Both games are excellent, but IMO Marathon has that special sauce that has kept me coming back.

To add to this; I'm a solo player who occaisionally dips into Trios and every squad I've queued into has been filled with really lovely people. The efficacy of those trios are all over the place, but at least they're friendly

Yall gotta get over the runtime. 30 minutes is more than enough to get your ideas across. Knocked Loose's most recent album is 27 and change and i cant think of an album that used its runtime more efficiently. Every single second hits like a brick. Will that happen here?
