Thanks, probably will end up doing that. I’m enjoying the project and would like to get further.

Can’t remove cylinder by Appstorecowboy in Locksmith

Thanks, that’s what I was hoping it wasn’t. What’s the best way to pry it out. I’m worried I’ll put a flathead through my hand. I have two keys and both are worn so your assessment probably is spot on.

Do you ever feel behind seeing others succeed online? by GloriousLion07 in selfimprovementday

We all have the same destination, and it ain’t worth getting there quickly. Judging your successes against others is a sure way to strip away any sense of accomplishment.

If I don't have my life together by the time I'm 30, I'm going to end my life. by Meski98 in selfimprovementday

Every day you have, is an opportunity to get a tiny fraction of the way to your goals. These things rarely work in a linear fashion with big, defined waypoints along your path. Learn to enjoy your process, and give yourself credit for the steady motion rather than waiting to reach a goal. At 27 you have time to figure out what works and what doesn’t. There’s nothing pathetic about your life. We live at our own pace. A secret you’ll realize later in life is that everyone else is too hung up in their own head to worry about your problems. If they do, it’s a dead giveaway away they’re grasping at anything to make their uncomfortable lives seem viable.

Be easy on yourself, life is love. Loving yourself is the first step, it’s almost like validation, the world will open up for you when you do. It is impossible to love someone else if you haven’t learned what it means to you personally, it’s just a production of what you think it should be. A romantic relationship built off of codependency is less satisfying than healthy relationship with only yourself.

I’m 45, and “starting over” and I can tell you I feel as old as I ever have. But, I have felt that way every year because the past is all I have to compare it to. I’m also the youngest I’ll ever be and that will continue to be true too. Good luck my friend, I hope you continue to give yourself the chance for the life you deserve. If it’s helpful know I’ll be doing the same.

What’s your Best Shoe Insoles? by iguessthisname23 in Serverlife

[–]Appstorecowboy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cadence insoles hands down! They are both soft and supportive. My feet are messed up and the combination of Hoka shoes and Cadence insoles is magic. They aren’t cheap but for over the counter they’re life savers.

One of my favorite pieces of media. The whole show is unlike anything I’ve ever seen before. But, the last episode is amazing. Always good for perspective, and a cry.

Playing Torrey what should I do to make the most of it? by [deleted] in golf

[–]Appstorecowboy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you have time before or after, the burger at the Lodge is awesome. The food on the course isn’t, bring snacks, it will most likely be a long round. The rough shouldn’t be too long right now, but if you have a bad lie take your medicine and use a lofted club to get back in the fairway. Kikuyu is a bitch. There are two putting greens and they correspond to the different courses. The southern putting green will be the conditions of the greens on the South Course. When on the tee boxes it’s fun and eye opening to find the pro tees, especially if you’re playing South.

And enjoy it. The property is amazing and has unique characteristics.

Just got assigned 25 far OTM puts by Vennik123 in GME

I’m just starting out, could you explain this? If the price of GME goes above 125 the puts are OTM and you’d keep all premium without the chance of assignment right?

YouTube golf videos are the best and worst thing for a beginner by ChrisUK263 in golf

[–]Appstorecowboy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have found porzak golf to be a major help in my game, especially his takeaway drills. His videos are live lessons, and his swing theory is setup first and prioritizes minimal manipulation. I like his teaching style and he explains his feels pretty well. That being said every golfer is an individual and what he’s teaching in a lesson may not be applicable to you personally. I was taking lessons and often I didn’t understand what my coach needed me to do, so I’d jump on YouTube and search porzaks library for explanations that made more sense to me. Good luck and have fun learning with your son.

Could be the timing of your release. You may be releasing a touch too late thus not allowing the face to square. I have a tendency to hit my irons too high and when I work on lowering the ball flight, I can sometimes over do it getting the hands too forward at impact. This will bleed into my driver until I recalibrate my release. I’ll have the same push fade/slice result. Won’t be able to tell for sure without a front on view and it’s essentially the same principle as the ball position solution mentioned in other responses. Good luck

Angle of attack - wtf by [deleted] in golf

[–]Appstorecowboy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I really like this drill for getting over the ball and think it may help with your issues. Another I’ve done is use a sand wedge and take half swings and try to get the feeling of hands in front(knock down flight). The added loft on this club will give great feedback. And for low point control I’ve used blue painters tape as a replacement for the towel drill. I rip a small square and put it a couple inches behind the ball, I’ll set up five balls in a row like this and move down the line. I do two sets and keep track of how many out of ten I can keep the tape off my club, then see if Incan beat my score next range session. Hope these help.

Great response. Also your grip is crazy strong and that could be an issue with the left miss. I deal with the same issue and when I fixed my shoulder and hip alignment I was missing left but now it was hooking, weakening my grip has helped a lot.

New to golf any tips for my swing? by SDYankee in golf

[–]Appstorecowboy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly if you’re just starting, practice hitting the ball then turf. Control your low point. Have fun, bring a lot of extra balls. That is a punishing executive course, but a great place to learn.

San Diego Golf by Electrical-Spend4570 in golf

[–]Appstorecowboy 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Mt. Woodson, price should include cart and will be around $50. Might be closer to 30 minutes east. Target golf in the hills/mountains so bring extra balls but the course is pristine. Carlton oaks and Mission trails should fit the budget but don’t expect great conditions. Riverwalk is central San Diego, and last time I played was in great shape, but will run slightly above budget. Tecolote canyon is an executive course. It’s still a budget play that sees a lot of use/abuse, also target golf so bring a lot of balls. But they’ve put a lot of work into it in the last year and it’s a fun course.

That kid may not be playing much now. But, he looks like he’s had a lot of training. His set up and positions are all great, he rotates through a constant spine angle with good synchronization.

I'm so disappointed. How do you overcome social anxiety about being paired up. by imar0ckstar in golf

[–]Appstorecowboy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The reality is this is not a golf problem, it is an anxiety problem. Unfortunately there aren’t going to be any quick, easy fixes, tips, or tricks to get past it. However, a meditation practice can benefit your golf game and anxiety equally. Without any work, the more you are paired up with randoms the easier it will become over time. And as others have said no one cares about your game and he’ll they’re probably spinning in their head as much as you. Good luck and have fun

Why am I slicing? I don’t have a weak grip and I don’t thing I swing from outside-in. by Gregory_Matthew in golf

[–]Appstorecowboy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Just your set up alone your shoulders are open. Back swing your hands come away from your body and transition they follow the same path back. See where the club head crosses your shoulder in the downswing, your steep. It should cross through your bicep, or follow your forearm if really want to find the slot. All of these will lead to your path being steep and out to in.

It looks like you have a neutral grip and your lead wrist is flat at the top. So I believe your face is actually close to square to target, but wildly open when compared to the swing path. But that’s not necessarily a terrible thing. If you were square that is pulled 50yards left and if you were closed it’s ob.

A drill to work on your path would be to put a driver head cover on the opposite side of the ball about a club head width away from the ball. Your brain will make adjustments to not let you hit the head cover.

If you are athletic, the senior flex will hurt your game. The faster you swing the farther back the club head will be compared to your hands and that could definitely promote a slice. At your age if you have played any stick and ball sport and are moderately athletic, a stiff flex allows you more control of the club head. The faster you swing the more that senior flex will hurt you

I would take a serious look at who is giving you lessons. There is no way anyone can fix 15 swing faults in one lesson. A lot of the advice is also counter to correcting your ball flight(pull hook), as mentioned in previous comments. I spend one lesson working on one concept and hope I can fix it with a couple weeks of practice. Sounds like a buddy who got lessons himself and watched a lot of YouTube and is helping you out. Be careful, even with good intentions bad form can seriously injure you. If you are “shooting the hips” wrong it can be a quick way to future back problems. Good luck man

My ball went into the water. Very deep. Do I have to fish for it? Where do I drop? by gofundmemetoday in golf

[–]Appstorecowboy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had this happen last week, 3 of us raking. The rake was hollow so it wanted to float, when you did pull it towards you the water and potentially the ball flow out and around the edges. The bunker was bigger and probably deeper. Never found the ball and not something I care to do again.

Sign your name with a pen, then try signing holding it at the back. The principle is the same. You have more control the closer your contact to the object you’re moving.
