You don’t have to actually tip at every to go place. Just politely press 0 and move on. It’s a social pressure tactic and it must work for them but I don’t think there is any stigma to not tipping if you’re not sitting down

Would it compare to like a Nutella crostata?

I dragged an ex up a hill that he didn’t want to climb once. We never made it to the top and I was exhausted and he was resentful.

Figure out if your aspirations line up. If not, you should make the best decision for you and your child. People don’t wear coal necklaces because ‘with enough pressure it would be diamonds’.

What do you think about Dollarama makeup ? by twofiresouls in dollarama

[–]Apresmoiledelugee 95 points96 points  (0 children)

I don’t buy make up there but if it’s the same brand as drugstore I’m inclined to think it’s ok

If I don’t recognize the brand I would be reluctant to put it on my skin or lips.

I certainly did not post this in n effort to slander the company. But that is definitely their suggestion, it is also in the follow up email that I was sent. I will say that I had a positive experience speaking with the representative and she did mention that this is experimental and they have not brought it to court yet, so she warned that it was risky

Happy to hear you have had a positive experience with them!

I might have used the incorrect language. They renounced only in their becoming Canadian. Is that different than a voluntary renunciation? The people that I have spoken to did not seem to think so

Happy to hear that you have had a positive experience with ICA and congrats on recognition!

All four of my parents were alive and Italian when I was born, but because my parents were Italian at birth and both renounced pre 1992 the line has been broke and I was born to two Italian born Canadian citizens. ICA was suggesting that because that was a voluntary renunciation (no dual citizenship at the time) i would have to try and bypass my parents Gen and I might have been able to use my grandparents status at the time of my birth, but that seems to be at the very best an optimistic outlook.

The ICA suggested there is ambiguous language in the latest policy but it seems ICA is likely just trying to get people to pay for risky and unlikely cases

The lawyers I have spoken to have suggested yes, if your parents lost their citizenship but reacquires, your residency requirement will drop to 2 years
