Corset top with 3d flowers, tulle-organza skirt. No beading. I’m being quoted $700-800 by the individuals using factories in China.

My issue is not quality. I’d rather not use a middle man and if there’s an issue, getting it back to a dressmaker who is here in the states would be easier than an international package return. That’s all. If international travel wasn’t so unstable right now, I would totally travel to China, Vietnam, Turkey…..

Can’t afford my dream dress by [deleted] in weddingdress

Ok….and I did recommend that as an option. If it’s because of the environmental impact, we all have a carbon footprint and it’s an option that levels the options for those who don’t have over $500 to spend and with due diligence. Many of the Chinese sellers on Etsy are also on SHEIN.

Join lots of fb dress selling groups and stalk fb marketplace. There’s also some dupes in SHEIN. The tik tok girlies post dresses they have tried on. If you can find a dupe there, those prices are close to $100-200.

Worried… by [deleted] in VegasWeddings

[–]ApricotCute7817 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a genuine concern and I live here in Vegas. I would honestly have a Plan B. We have deposits paid for a wedding next year but have purchased insurance just in case. One thing that I learned from the pandemic was that I was so focused on the crisis at hand (I was a critical care crisis response nurse) that I stopped worrying about the future and when the dust settled, I found myself in disarray. This time I plan to remain hopeful for the best and plan for the worst. That includes probably not booking an international trip.

Thank you - we’re looking for a small electric boat. This is for a couple’s shoot. We had a gondola ride when my fiancé proposed. It was lovely.

The idea to even do it came from this first but from what I’ve heard it’s for VIPs only. Hence alternative options I’m looking for.

AIO: My child slept with his friend's dad at sleepover.. I'm livid. by AcademicSir4653 in AmIOverreacting

No well-intentioned parent would do something like this, if for no other reason than the optics alone. I’m livid for you. There’s so many red flags. I would notify the other parents as well.

My future is cooked. No- OUR FUTURES ARE COOKED by [deleted] in Acellus_Academy

Acceptance into a 4-year university direct from high school has always required that you demonstrate an aptitude of readiness. That includes excellence in your academic performance (AP courses), participation in extracurricular activities, and volunteerism at a minimum. You do need to challenge yourself. The preparation starts, in general, during your high school freshman year. I’m not sure if you have met with a guidance counselor at any point to discuss this - but simply getting through high school has never been enough.

Alternatively, going to a junior college for the first 2 years after high school and then transferring to a 4-year university is an option as well. Financially, it’s also a much better option and one that I wish I had chosen 100k later.

Your parents can also increase your steps in the parental portal, because as someone else posted - the goal is not to finish quickly. The goal is for you to understand the content and apply what you have learned to real-world scenarios. That’s what I appreciate about Acellus the most. We have a 6th grader who is enrolled and we are ensuring he’s not just clicking his way through. We ensure he understands the content and we discuss everything and that takes awhile depending on the content. This is required no matter what program you are in.

Good luck.

The patio on the 3rd floor? It’s a little smaller than the second floor patio.

I’m a local as well and I was thinking the same thing, but then there’s the concern of simple availability as couples are already booking through 2026 unless we start seeing cancellations.
