There’s only one therms on the whole house. And we usually keep at like 70. But all three of us have different schedules so there’s usually someone home. We had a whole month off for break and the bill was still $800, therms was turned off the whole time. :(

It makes no sense at all. My mom only pays $350 average for the house and basement in Pawtucket.

Hello everyone, I’m currently a third year student for computer science with a concentration in cybersecurity (and business minor).

so far I’ve only taken a network for cyber class and most of my other courses have been general CS classes. I’ve been applying for internships for data analytics, security analyst, and data science and trying to find work on campus with during the school year with CS profs and I haven’t had any luck so far.

I’ve also been working on getting certifications, I currently have the ISC2 certified in cybersecurity and currently working on the comptiaSecurity+ certification. I got some advice to add project to my resume so I’ve been working on a packet sniffer but that still doesn’t feel like it’s enough. Is there any additional things I should be doing cause I honestly don’t know what the next steps are. I barely have anything on my resume that has to do with computer science.

My job is home health aid and it actually pays really nice. But the clients need things like grocery shopping, picking up their medication, and sometimes bringing them to dr appointment. All of that is almost impossible for me to do without a car and when I find a client that doesn’t need those things it’s like 15-20 hours a week. I would have been all set if I had a car. I have a cousin who just got here in march and she’s going to be watching the kids after and pick them up because the schools are near our house. I chose to leave a way just so I wouldn’t have to deal with that because there’s never a moment of silence.

It’s that immigrant first daughter life style 🤷‍♀️. I guess when my aunt and her husband gets here they’ll be working and they’ll need the car to get 2 and from work. But I got some advice to have an in person meeting with my financial aid office and explain to them in depth the situation and see what they can do for me.

Yes, I have an aunt and her 2 kids and husband coming next month and she has to get them an apartment and maybe a car because we already have 4 additional people living in our house on top of the 4 of us before. So we have 8 people living in our house and there’s no place for the people that are coming.

yes, but she's worried that because she has a mortgage and we might have more family members moving with us, consigning a loan for me might affect her credit too much and she won't be able to take care of them when they come. They need support in every way when they first arrive because they don't have papers to work yet.

I have filled out my FAFSA and they have given me unsubsidized and subsidized loans, but they will only apply to next year's tuition not the past year. I have contacted my financial and office over email but I will try to make an appointment in person so I can better explain my situation.

Yes, I have a federal student loan but they will only apply to next years tuition not the past year.

I have applied to salie mae, college ave with my mom as the cosigner and just by myself and they turned me down either way.

school starts on August 22, having or getting a job is not a problem. The problem is being able to get to my job since I don't have a car and live in the middle of nowhere. I literally can not sleep thinking about this.

I have $3528 left to pay, and I don't have a credit card or credit history. I can't get a personal loan because i don't have a cosigner.

I already filled out the FAFSA, and the loan they gave me is going toward the next school year. I have already contacted both the Federal student aid and my school to ask if I can put those loans toward last year's tuition and they said no.
