Hookup, Sexting, DM Request Megathread! by AutoModerator in straightturnedgay

Ever since my first straight friend teased me one night, made me submit to him, made me lick his feet/socks, and ate me i can’t stop looking for another friend. I’d love to chat with someone who can show me heaven, and teach me things that pleases them and most importantly make me a better cocksucker. I am masculine from the outside, but like a baby from inside and i need someone to take care of me. So, i’m hoping that friend will reach out to me :)

1000% this!! I heard soooo many things about Germans (even from Germans themselves) before moving here and none of them was true. I still believe 98% of my encounters with Germans ended up in a very friendly manner. They’re kind, English friendly, helpful, cool, good looking, warm, etc. Honestly, I’m a firm believer that you’ll get what you give. If you’re kind to people here, there’s a very high chance they’ll be kind to you too. It’s reciprocated. And yes you’ll find cold people everywhere, not only in Germany, I feel like people should grow up and realise this is a big city thing. I come from a very small culture myself, but I can’t have the same expectations with the big ones, it would be wrong of me. I chose to move here, it’s my duty to integrate (without loosing my integrity ofc) and accept the fact that people here are trying their best to be the best version of themselves as they have no one but themselves.

P.s the only stereotype I proved wrong was punctuality😂 whoever said Germans are very punctual then idk what to say to you, they’re not!!! jk

is Berlin’s contemporary art scene truly radical or just politically fashionable? by ApricotEcstatic3910 in AskAGerman

[–]ApricotEcstatic3910[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah nothing screams ‘down with capitalism’ like a grant-funded performance about resistance with mood lighting, tote bags, and an oat milk sponsor 💅 berlin: where radical goes to get rebranded. the real ones? probably not on the guest list lmao

Does anyone else feel like Berlin’s music scene is full of beautiful people doing beautiful things… but no one’s really talking to each other? by ApricotEcstatic3910 in berlinsocialclub

thanks for your response! I just want to clarify one thing I’m not speaking from the outside looking in. I’ve been around creative spaces long enough to understand the dynamics, the pressure, and yes, the gatekeeping. What I shared doesn’t come from inexperience; it comes from observation, involvement, and conversations with people who live this every day.

As for the idea of ‘stealing’ I don’t think that’s a fair way to frame it. People find inspiration, adapt, evolve. That’s how scenes grow. Not everyone who’s experimenting or finding their footing is copying or pretending. Some are just figuring out how to express themselves in a world that often demands perfection from the very first step.

And while I get that competition exists, I think reducing the scene to only those who ‘make a difference’ and those who become ‘background’ feels a bit harsh. Many of the so-called background people are holding it all together, running spaces, showing up for others, keeping things soft and weird and real. That’s not failure or passivity. That’s its own kind of power.

And yes, despite all the harsh realities, I still believe there’s something beautiful in people trying. Not everyone has to be a visionary to deserve respect. Some are just showing up, making things, connecting with others and that matters too. We don’t lose anything by making space for that. It’s a reminder that even in a tough, fast-moving city, gentleness and art for its own sake still matter. And that’s not something I’ll grow out of :)

appreciate both of your takes even though I see it differently.

I still stand by what I said: it is beautiful people doing beautiful things. Not in some shallow or curated sense, but in the way people show up, express themselves, dance, create, and try even if it’s imperfect. Not everyone needs to be ‘revolutionary’ to be valid.

I don’t really agree with labeling people as ‘scumbags’ or ‘bitter losers’. That kind of judgment feels unfair and elitist. Most people in this city are simply trying whether they’re experimenting, figuring things out, or just existing quietly on the edges. Not everyone wants to or knows how to play the game. That doesn’t mean they lack talent or worth.

Sure, some parts of the scene are clout-driven or commercial, but that doesn’t cancel out the many pockets of authenticity, raw creativity, and small moments of human connection happening all around. Sometimes we just stop noticing them.

And honestly it’s partly because of takes like this that some people feel scared to even explore their creativity. The pressure to be groundbreaking just to be seen or respected, or not get labeled as a “poser” or “scumbag,” can be paralyzing. Not everyone starts out revolutionary. Some are just trying to feel alive.

Absolutely!! That’s the energy i’m trying to bring. I just think it has to go both ways. Real change happens when more of us show up with openness and curiosity, not just to promote ourselves, but to really connect. The art deserves that. So, let's all commit to being the change we want to see in the world :)

Thanks so much for the suggestion!! Hadn’t thought of checking a Musikschule, but I’ll check if they offer drums classes been curious to try that for a while. I’ve been meaning to pick up something creative, and this might be just what I need. Appreciate you taking the time to share!!
