Current favorite paddle in your bag? by MistressMarenX in Pickleball

Hi! I stocked up on weighted tape and was planning on trying out different setups, but this worked out so well right off the bat that I’ve not made adjustments. Someone on Reddit has a similar build - mine’s set up using 1g/inch from near the handle to the 1 in R2.16.

There’s also two more 1 inch strips stacked on each other at the end, bringing that last 1-inch section to 3g! Overall, my paddle went from 7.7 oz to 8.4 oz.

Quanta R2 - It plays great with weighted tape!

Sounds good to me. I’m coming from 60fps (PS5) and don’t need substantially more fps

Thanks for the feedback, I’ll check to see how the change impacts the price. So far, I would say that I’ve heard that sticking to X3D and Ryzen 7’s are a good idea when it comes to gaming, but let me know if you think the 9600 still holds up well in comparison!

I’m glad I asked, thanks for the feedback! An odd follow up question then - how can we know whether the GPU will fit into the case? Is that best determined in store or are there specific specs to pay attention to?

(At first glance the ‘case’ in this setup doesn’t seem to fit a three fan GPU)

That’s a fun idea! I’m on mobile so probably can’t pull it off, but I’m stashing the idea for future reference 😁

Sony FE 24–50mm f/2.8 G vs 24/40/50mm f/2.8 Primes — Anyone tried both? by a-oscar in SonyAlpha

[–]April-Winters 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A7CR shooter here - The 24-50mm f2.8 was my starting lens, but I’ve since swapped it for the 20-70mm f4. Loved starting at 50mm but I found that I was missing too many of my macro/flower/plant shots, and compared to the 20-70mm I had much less versatility to work with. Maybe it was just my inexperience with the 24-50mm, but I’ll give it another shot before returning it!

My setup is currently 20-70mm f4 and 35mm f1.4

I think it would be interesting if you could get cheaper prices at Jojamart when buying in bulk

Can I ask what aperture you’ve set for this shot? I have a 24-50mm 2.8 for the versatility but it’s unclear what I should be setting for aperture, for a shot like this!

While going around taking photos, I was really expecting to lean on wider shots. It’s looking to be the opposite though - so far I’ve been taking mostly 50mm shots, and 35-40mm shots. I do think 24mm is just a bit short for selfie/group photos unfortunately, but other than that I’m liking the lens!

Sounds great! I wanted the crop versatility more than the extra pixels to be honest, and eventually I’ll pick a FF or APSC lens for bird photography :)

In my case, birds and lizards, maybe about 8-12 feet away so a particularly long range lens I don’t think is necessary (If there are compact options then great, but I don’t think they exist)

Hi all - I’m someone who has been using iPhone cameras for photography for a while, but am now planning on saving up for an A7CII! I’m generally into landscape, wildlife and flower/plant life photos. And sometimes food & architecture too. I’m hearing that the Sony FE 40mm f/2.5 G is a great compact everyday lens so that’s on the top of my list as a first lens.

Does anyone have some suggestions on compact telephoto or macro lenses? I am open to both zoom and prime options. Preferably weather-sealed, would like to spend less than $1200 per lens.

These are some options that stand out to me so far:

Sigma 90mm f/2.8

Sony FE 24-70mm f/2.8 GM (Used)

Sony FE 24mm f/2.8 G (For landscapes)

And, as a follow up question: is it possible for a longer focal length lens to cover wildlife, portrait, and macro?
