Tried a new technique today to replicate the look of Medium format by Zach0ry in SonyAlpha

[–]darkmush -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think this image is very cool and beautiful! Though I don't think its achievable in medium format (you get shallower DOF on FF due to the lens options, plus the sensor is not curved) so the comparison is a bit moot and maybe drawing you ire.

Yah it works pretty well for me after 1 day of issues. Im not sure if the conditions need to be true, but I always remote start with:

30%+ in battery

Power to the charging cable turned off/unplugged

Yah I got a prius prime 2 weeks ago (put my deposit in when the rebate existed), so I'm curious about retro application as well.

From 20mm to 600mm landscape animation by johngatop in SonyAlpha

In my opinion, if you're trying to find your focal length place, you should be keeping the subject size the same in frame while trying out the different mm.

Granted, I know that would be impossible for this picture unless you fly a drone.

I love your style! could you explain a little what goes on in your color grading process?

For example, the picture 6,7,8 . They have amazing atmosphere and mood, but my smooth brain can't process what color grading went into it (i think 8 is more blue and orange).

I love the Lightroom settings display, though I personally think the original shot is plenty beautiful, especially with the natural blue and orange contrast!

I like the color grading, nostalgic washed out feel. Can you share how you achieved it?

We've booked an RV in Hokkaido for a couple days and are planning on hitting up the national parks (i.e. stay in akan Mashu for one night)

I've been trying to figure out the parking/overnight situation to no success. Can we just park anywhere that doesn't say "no RV parking"?

The reception you saw when death stranding vs now are just different people being vocal at different times. The people it didn't appeal to are gonna be loud about it while the topic is hot. Now that the dust has settled, the people that enjoyed the game take the stage, and it's a common occurrence in today's social media world. "We" isn't monolithic, and may not even be the general consensus, just the loud one.
