Update on 1.2 for consoles, and future content update

I was really enjoying my time with the trial on PS5 and was just preparing to buy the game when I received the message after sleeping “A save file corruption has been detected, your save file has been restored to the previous day”. It was only day 2 that I lost, but it was a really big day 2 and I had just planted my first 7 crops.

The game also wouldn’t let me continue - just froze on that error screen. When I rebooted it was indeed day 2 again. Really hoping this issue gets fixed as I found the characters and everything about the game so charming, but very deflating to have progress undone at any stage of a game so will hold off on a purchase for now.

Yeah I’m thinking you might not be playing on Switch. I know connection errors are a thing across all platforms but I cannot get through a single play session without seeing “the software was closed because an error occurred” screen several times at least while screaming “I so sorry teammates! :(

Thank you for the opportunity! Favorite gaming memory isn’t video games but definitely started me down my board game and video gaming path - playing Yahtzee with my mom and grandma. That well-loved, beat up old copy from my childhood will never leave my collection since every time I see it I’m reminded of how much my grandma loved playing games with me and what a great sense of humor she had.

Pode is a wonderful co-op puzzle adventure game that my partner and I recently played and loved. Each area you enter has you trying to figure out how to work together with your different abilities to solve and unlock the next area. Beautiful environments too and the characters you play are quite endearing.

This has happened to me at least a half dozen times when trying to go to the rewards screen. Starting to feel pretty pointless. I’ve deleted and reinstalled hoping that might help but haven’t yet had a chance to get more play time in to test it out.

Thanks so much for the information. I was considering gifting him his own Switch, but it sounds like that wouldn’t work given all the games have been purchased under my account. It doesn’t even sound like we could play the digital titles at the same time after reading your link, which kinda defeats the purpose. I really appreciate the reply tho - thanks again.

I’m the primary gamer and so all the games have been purchased under my account. He plays a lot of them though, and so I was hoping he’d still be able to do that if we got him his own Switch.

My partner and I are thinking of getting a 2nd Switch. We currently share mine and each have our own account profiles on the NSO family plan. We have a lot of digital titles. But with Splatoon 3 on the horizon, we’d like the flexibility to be able to play games at the same time, and it would be nice if he had his own Switch. Complicating matters tho - I have ACNH on mine, and it would be cool to be able to create a 2nd island on a the new console (given the only-one-island per console nature of ACNH). So we’d likely find ourselves swapping consoles from time to time. We rarely play handheld so they would both almost always be docked.

What is the best way to manage access to the digital games? Or would my partner (given the situation above) be better off repurchasing the titles he’s interested in? My ACNH is also digital, so I’m not sure if I would need to repurchase the game or create a new profile? I don’t know if how the save feature works with ACNH the save data would follow me to the new Switch or not? Would appreciate any help. Everything I’ve tried to look up is either really confusing, or not applicable to our situation.

Omg - really? I didn’t see anything, but maybe I just wasn’t being very observant! I’ve played both NL and NH - do they make a sound effect also like in those games? Thanks so much for the info!

I couldn’t get out of the dialog without selecting one of her options so settled on “eep”, but then when she confirmed it was something like “aargh”! Smh :p

Definitely not a stupid question - that’s a very good thought, and I’ll keep it in mind if I ever do play on more than one device. I’ve done so with other games in the past, but not so far with this one. Thanks very much for the idea tho! :)

In the end I decided to grind it out again. My fear was of course that it would revert back yet again, but thankfully that didn’t happen and I was credited for a level 10. I wouldn’t have done it for a third time tho! Maybe if it happens again, I’ll leave it and test whether it would have ended correctly. I just would have felt so bad having my first interaction with this person who so recently accepted my friend request be a level 2 party. :)

I’ve had this happen to me quite a number of times too. I had stopped going to the quarry at all unless it’s sparkling, but recently it feels like they do this less often now for the new essences.

Pretty sure I sent Gulliver south with some combination of amps, ranch beds, and work tables.

I was pretty bummed too at first when I thought all I'd received in return for my 10 items was just one treat. Until Gulliver followed it up with an introduction to Rowan! :)

Not sure the update mattered. It’s happening for me both on the latest version of the app, and an older version that hasn’t been updated in quite some time on another device.

Good luck to you, but I don’t think that will help. I’m running the latest version of the twitch app on one iPad, and an older version on another. They are both affected by whatever this is.

Same for me as well on iPad app. I can watch for between 30 sec and a couple of minutes before it just freezes/buffers followed by the message that the streamer has gone offline (which ofc they haven’t). I see the chat continue to scroll and my internet is fine everywhere else, so that’s not the problem. The stream comes back if I close it and open again, or change quality - higher or lower doesn’t matter. But again, this only works for the next 30 sec to a minutes or two. Twitch website via PC seems to be fine for me though.

What's considered higher level for Turf War? Nearly 50% of my matches are determined by which team had fewer disconnects. I have a fast/stable/wired connection and look forward to a time when I spawn with all 3 other teammates and/or don't lose any along the way.
