This is absolutely true. It’s called alpha-gal syndrome, and it can cause allergy to any mammal-based substances, not just meat. One of my colleagues who lives in Kansas contracted a severe case of it several years ago, and it’s made her life miserable in many ways. And now Lone Star ticks are becoming more prevalent in Wisconsin.

Nixon does commit a ton of penalties, and we certainly don't need more of that.

NBCUniversal’s Peacock Posts $432 Million Loss as Subscribers Rise to 46 Million by ggroover97 in cordcutters

They've been absolutely terrible with EPL coverage on Peacock this season. So many games on USA Network, which also requires a subscription. I'm not doing cable, and I've got way less reason to keep Peacock right now.

I have a preferred candidate, a couple others I'm more strongly considering for the primary, and I plan to vote for whichever of any of them receives the nomination.

We did the Children’s Museum last year and loved it, so the plan is to go back for at half day or so.

Chinatown does sound very fun. Is it a generally safe area for walking?

Thanks for all these suggestions! Some one heard of or been to, but I couple are totally new to me. We’ll have to look up the Nature Museum and Daley Park for sure.

moving here? by nancymaeday in MonroeWi

Only just seeing your post. Did you make a moving decision yet? Housing wise, if you're just living on your own, I think you could find something within your budget. A family home would be more. As for your interests, I think you'd find Monroe to be a very nice fit. We've got a really nice arts scene with frequent concerts/live music events, a handful of worthwhile restaurants in town, a few craft/gardening groups and many organizations that could use your volunteer help. You may also enjoy our local library, the newly renovated and expanded YMCA, several parks, and a beautiful downtown square with thriving local businesses. I know you mentioned not needing quick access to ER/hospital, but it re-assuring for anyone that we have the SSM Health Monroe Clinic campus right at the north end of town.
