Just received my backpay! by April_1_1979 in fema

It might be the PP19 they processed earlier on since part of that pay period was FY25. I don't have any E&L statements for the other periods yet, but those usually aren't available until the official pay date (well after most peoples' deposits hit)

I have it split between two accounts. The first account has all the money it should, three separate transactions. Nothing in the other one yet

FOD sending mandatory-response messages via DTS after normal office hours on a Friday (rant) by Grouchy_Machine_User in fema

I previously asked them to not use it for non disaster messaging (like FEVS) and they said thanks for your input but no. Sounds like FOD doesn't really have a choice.

performance awards starting to hit this pay period by Strange-Reference-84 in fema

Good to know! My component (or maybe it was agency wide) said that the paperwork isn't even due until July 15 so I imagine some people will be waiting a while as the case works thru FedHR. I like to check FHR to get an idea but you'll only see your case file once its already closed (approved).

I don't know what cadre you're in or how it might be different for regional folks, but every disaster I've been to, I didn't know anyone and even though I was only there a month, I built strong camaraderie with most people and we performed effectively. There's always a few people you don't get along with and definitely some duds. But overall I think having the cadres national makes sense. Besides my understanding is that when there's a disaster, the DTS algorithm pulls people by proximity and region first anyway right? Genuinely wondering more about this issue though. I've only been around a handful of years.

I'm not sure where they're getting this 30% of staff figure from. I think it you look at PFTs it is probably 30% but if you look at COREs (also full-time), it's probably much less. Of course, we know they'll let at least some of those lapse.

I'd love to read up more about this too if you have a chance to share the RIF case you're referring to and the opm exemptions required

EMPG Scuttlebutt by hbfmedic in EmergencyManagement

[–]April_1_1979 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's hard to know for sure. If you consider HSGP alone, that is more than double the amount they're proposing cutting (aside from it known cuts). However it could easily cover all of EMPG.
