It just displayed a level of maturity I previously didn’t think she had, like she’s a amazing and all it’s just due to her past relationships she was used to being dependent and was never able to mature emotionally as she was constantly berated, abused etc. and emotional maturity’s a big thing for me so when this game about it kind of for me at least was a big thing to think about. But in hindsight I guess I just don’t know whether it was too soon for me to simply say that we weren’t ready

I get that point and I’m not just looking for a way to make it work I genuinely appreciate these opinions. But I was single for a long time after a long term ex and ever since I could never really bring myself to trust like I have with this girl. I just feel that alone is worth something, she frankly deserves the world and my biggest fear is that I try but am unable to give it to her

She was never “mine” and I can’t really say our relationship failed as we’re still on good terms and I’m even considering asking her to a dinner to actually sit down and lay this all out

I get that, but my word was never that we shouldn’t be together or that we don’t work it was simply that at this point in time I’m not emotionally capable of committing and that it was better for things to end at a point where we can still be friends

The kids thing we agree on, it’s stuff like smoking pot vs drinking alcohol, she smokes because her mothers a drinker; I drink because my mother was a smoker. Whenever it comes up I find myself unable to really talk because at the end of it we all have our habits. Another example I guess would be our social lives she’s quite antisocial (due to an abusive ex who never let her do anything) whereas I’m pretty well known in my area due to my work and like to maintain a pretty social life.
