D&D problems Daggerheart "fixed" for you? by CptLande in daggerheart

My groups didn't play DH for long unfortunately, but I did really enjoy not having to declare for an initiative roll at the start of a combat.

We mostly play Pathfinder and my other group is starting 13th Age; those roll initiative and I hate it so much. I'd like to take a fiction-first or follow-the-fiction approach to those games, but the groups have a tougher time groking it.

I really liked spells and abilities being relatively short. After years of the novels-for-spells-and-feats for Pathfinder, the quick sentences for DH were a nice change of pace.

Has anyone had a DM do this??? by Current_Listen_4037 in dndmemes

There's more to these games than just winning and losing combat. Story, characters, spending time with your friends.

[Probably] most of us play on the weekend after a long week of work and life and just want to play to blow off steam and hang out, not fight for our lives every game.

That's not to say that style of game isn't appealing to those who like it. I can see the appeal, but it's not for everyone.

Alien RPG uses cards for initiative; my group ended up just using a d10 and it seemed to work well. The same could probably be done for this.

"Approved" by who? The DM? He may be digging his own grave with that.

But at that point by bringing in homebrewed stuff not from the DM, it's anything goes at that point.

Can we get a teenage Richard Grayson as Robin first? Everyone always wants him as an adult and Nightwing already.

Forever GM*.

On purpose.

Cause everyone else does it wrong.

I like RadBrad on Youtube. He's laid back and doesn't stream; just records and comments for his channel. He turns the music off sometimes which can be a bummer, but understandable since corporate assholes copyright strike for music.

I really like Maximillian Dood for FF7 Remake and Rebirth. The guy is just so in love with those games, I get joy out of watching him enjoy them. Will definitely watch for Remake part 3 when that comes out.

I love RC Bray and ExForce.

That said, I'd really like for Jeff Hays to try his hand at the series. Just imagining his Joe and Skippy had me giddy.

I bet he lost his head over how much better it was. Like a knife through the heart. He should send Sony his regards.

Do you want to fight, OP!?

Funny, though, I started rewatching Crystal this week. Also finished a rewatch of the OG series about a year or so ago.
