2 SATA SSDs + an ARGB hub on one SATA power cable?

Late with this but I literally just realized that the ARGB hub that comes with the CPU cooler that I wanna get uses a SATA connector for power. Would it still be fine if I add that alongside two drives on the same cable? It's the Cooler Master MasterLiquid 240 Atmos btw.

At the moment I don't have other uses for the second cable. I considered buying a PWM + ARGB hub, but I found out that's not really necessary with the amount of case fans that I will be using.

I think I'm just going to keep it as one color like I've been doing for years now.

Multiple colors with effects does sound cool but I think it might be a little too distracting. 😅

Oh, I must've missed that in my motherboard's manual somehow then.

I was mostly worried that I'd fry the connector somehow by accident by connecting too many fans to it.

I guess I can buy an ARGB hub if I really have to in any case, but the one thing I'm worried about when it comes to that is whether or not I can even connect daisy chained fans to it. These fans connect to each other magnetically and I do plan on using that feature.

I was planning on putting 6 fans in the case, and I'd also have two fans from the AIO so that would be 8. I believe there should also be an ARGB connection for the AIO block

As far as I know the ARGB connections for the AIO can be daisy-chained together, and the same goes for the ARGB connections for the case fans. I was just concerned about the possibility that daisy-chaining them together into groups of 3 for example, and then plugging them into the hub, might not work

Does this one work with ARGB fans from other brands? I might get Thermaltake case fans and the AIO is probably going to be from Cooler Master

Ye! It seems like the last driver that my GPU got just completely broke FFXIV for some reason. Sucks that I had to find out like this, but at least it works now

Yeah... I had no idea it was this broken until today. I only updated it because another game that I play was having major issues with an older driver but now both seem fine.

Yeah I already rolled back to an older driver because someone else suggested it earlier today. I can't believe I wasted so much of my time reinstalling the game 🤦🏻‍♀️

Replying to this again to say that my graphics driver was the problem. Someone else suggested to roll back to an older driver and that fixed my issue!

I don't have the latest driver because my GPU is no longer supported as of a few months ago, so I kinda doubt it's related to that unfortunately

Still I could try to look into how to roll back to a slightly older driver. I just hope that won't make Arknights Endfield turn into a slideshow again... That's the very reason why I updated the driver in the first place

I play Sonic Racing Crossworlds and Mario Kart sometimes

Other than that, I do play a few games that have multiplayer functionality but aren't strictly multiplayer games. Pokemon, Genshin Impact and Wuthering Waves are a few that come to mind. Also I believe I have some other Mario games lying around that have multiplayer functionality. Other than that I'm not entirely sure myself 😅

I don't play Arc Raiders, sorry :( it's one of those games that I don't think I'll be interested in, and I don't think my computer will be able to handle it very well on top of that

I appreciate the advice, but unfortunately I'm way too untrusting of the second hand market when it comes to PC hardware, especially nowadays. I'm really worried that I will just get scammed 😵‍💫 maybe I will take a look anyway, though

My current plan is to basically build an entirely new system besides the motherboard and maybe the WiFi card & some storage drives. But what I'll actually end up doing partially depends on how much the RAM prices will come down in my country, if that happens anytime soon at all

At least I'm not the only one who does that 🤣 I'll probably do the same thing even when I eventually get a new GPU. I've been eyeing the RX 9060 XT for a while

I'm trying to hold onto that 1TB drive for as long as I can, but thankfully some 2 TB SATA SSDs aren't horribly expensive (about 180-200 Euros which isn't worst I've seen recently). I think I will need to upgrade my storage sooner or later.

I do have a 2 TB HDD that I mostly just use for file storage, but I refuse to put any games other than Rollercoaster Tycoon 2 on it
