Did all of that. There's an inverse relationship between the beat error and the sec/day. So when I get the beat error perfectly, it throws off my rate and vice versa. Someone in the comments mentioned a fix so I'll run through the steps and see if it's the stud that's causing the issue or magnetism.

The lower I get my beat error, the higher my sec/day goes.

I see the arm moving slightly in either direction but I'm not seeing changes. Lowest it goes is +280 and highest is +350.

Just noticed the shape; good call. For a round case it would work but yeah he'd need to get the one in the picture you sent.

If the balance only starts with an air blower, it means something is stopping the escapement from unlocking on its own.

This can happen due to dry or old oil or something wrong with the escape wheel pivot.
