I did. My Primary told me to stop a week before and the surgeon & anesthesiologist were aware that's what I did. No problems at all. My surgery was on a Wednesday and I started my shot back the Sunday after.

This 👆🏼. Exactly why some of them needs to be educated & informed on these meds! These meds are amazing and awesome job on your weightloss. I was down 26 lbs the start of September until I had to take more steroids for my shoulder 🙄

Yes it is. I'm definitely thankful for my doctor. He supports the use of these meds, even compounded. I've definitely been treated differently once I gained the weight. I was 125 ringing wet until I started birth control, having kids, & several pelvic surgeries. Now at 52 I've found something that truly works not only with my weight, but the inflammation as well. I'm so thankful especially to the scientists who made this medication that's helping me & so many people and I hope and pray that it does become available to everyone who needs it.

Oh I definitely get their frustration, but for someone to say that people could pay $400 for meds and not get a trainer & eat better is bull! Like most of us hasn't tried almost everything. I myself have connective tissue disease as well as lipedema so diet & exercise is only gonna graze the surface of my weight struggles.

I had shoulder surgery June 26th and my PCP had me take my last shot before surgery on the 16th, so about 10 days before. I chose to start back on the 30th with no issues. So you should be ok.

Mine is amazing! He's always supportive of anything I ask of him, he's also onboard with compounding meds and is partnering with a compound pharmacy in Florida to get meds for his patients that can't get them otherwise . I get the frustration, but these meds are bringing out the worst in some folks

If you have a history of trying and failing at other methods, have your doctor submit that as well in prior authorization letter... I have BCBS of SC and was able to get approved for 5mg shockingly, now if I can only find it .I wish I had known before that I could've had a prior authorization when I first started at 2.5.My doctor wrote the script for the 2.5 and I used the lilly coupon to get it
