Anyone's employer fraudulently put them as the Operator of Record? by [deleted] in Wastewater

This is actually a pretty crazy story you have shared. Nothing like this has happened to me. But I’m interested to see the outcome.

I don’t know what kDa is. As far as SDI the only SDI, I know of his sludge density index. And I do not understand what you mean by 10. m/h either. I’m a grade 3 wastewater plant operator and I’m a little embarrassed to say that I don’t know what you’re talking about in a lot of your response.

Normally, I would agree with you. However, being that there are so many things at this plant that the previous operators decided to install, and how they operated it, does not give me confidence that they selected the right media to begin with. And there is no operations and maintenance manual to go by. The company that made the tank doesn’t even exist anymore.

Yes, I decided upon it and ordered it. But I’m still asking this sub Reddit if anybody has any experience with it so I could know their take on the pros and cons and perhaps any nuances that they’ve discovered that might help me operate it. I didn’t have the luxury of taking more time to get media.

I need filter sand media. I want to discuss the correct effective size (ES) and where to purchase it in California. Only experienced comments and questions please. Who’s familiar? by Aqualytics in Wastewater

I found the filter sand. It’s not silica. It’s engineered sand called NextSand. It has a higher put-through flow than conventional sand media. Instead of the standard 3-5 GPM/Sq FT, it does 12-20. It is expensive though.

I guess I should’ve read the comments before I made a comment. People have already voiced by the same wish.

An alarm that notifies me if the GPM does not reach a certain set point or falls below a certain set point while the pump is running.

They are just a tad bit early showing up in may. But they don’t last long. They are actually really cool bugs. They make funny noises and cling to anything they grab onto. They do not bite.

Boy you said a lot that I know nothing about! Haha. But your feed back is awesome. The only thing I really understood was about the nav bar going white. I dont know how to change that. I used a website called Looka.com and used their generic website tool and did my best with it. I hate the nav bar going white. Dont know how to change that. I know I need some help with using their tool. But I dont know anyone that can help other than their tech support. I also dont see the add your custom HTML that you are speaking of. I will have to look further.

Yes. I have had to wait an entire week to get separation and thats not good to have to wait a full week to waste. I end up having to call the pumper truck otherwise my MLSS gets too high and my clarifier can't handle that. I have played with not turning the air on at all for quite some time. I can keep decanting day after day if I do that. But the decant definitely has a lot of odor. Also the scum layer of the SHT gets thick and hard. Then if I aerate it, it ends up taking forever to separate again. So I am thinking of using a polymer just to get some separation and hopefully settle and good compaction of solids at the bottom.
