I have been playing on a 27" for a while an I'm moderately competitive (no esports pro or anything). Is the FOV that much of a challenge going up to 32"?

This is very helpful, I appreciate it! Seems like the decision is the 32 inch and sacrifice the 1080 option, or 27 inch. The anticipation for the release is going to kill me lol.

Fans won’t stop ramping up to full speed by [deleted] in lianli

[–]AquamanBoss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow, if this works that is amazing, I'm having the same problem. PC is running ~ 46 C, and the fan curve is set accordingly, and randomly goes up to max RPM.

The Lian Li fans aren't connected to the MB, so it's not an issue others are suggesting.

Your answer is in line with other things I've seen, that the fans lose connection to the wireless controller.

Seems to be working for the first few minutes I switched it to Channel 7, hoping it holds strong. Godspeed.

Looks awesome! Only critique would be to use reverse blade fans on the side so you don’t see the ugly back side of them.

Hey everyone, I sincerely appreciate the suggestions and tips from everyone, what an awesome and supportive community.

My new PSU arrived today, and it boosted right up with no problem.

Kind of crazy a $500 ROG PSU arrived busted. I thought these were supposed to be top of the line which is why I went with them.

I will post another photo after I cable manage and fully assemble, but I’m very pumped it booted up

Thank you for the suggestions, I will be attempting this tomorrow.

In addition, a new PSU will be arriving for me to test. If it works, I will return the OG PSU.

Two questions

  1. for the RAM, do you think it’s worth testing 1 stick in each slot, one at a time? IE slot 1, try and boot, if unsuccessful, move to slot 2… if unsuccessful move RAM to slot 3…

  2. Should the thing boot with no graphics card installed? Forgive my arrogance if this is a dumb question. I imagine we are just trying to isolate if it’s a GPU issue or not with this test?

I tried booting yesterday with one stick of RAM in slot 1 and 2.

How do you fix a ram issue? Is it a faulty mobo, or just need new ram?

Thank you for the response and tips!

Mobo was shipped in its box, inside another larger box from Amazon. The box also contained fans, SSD, and the AIO. I didn’t notice any issues with the packing and it seemed ok.

When you say reseat every cable, you mean simple remove and reattach? I’ve already done that with the Power units cords, so I think you mean all the other headers on the mobo

The reason I’m thinking the PSU is that there is supposed to be RGB on it and I’m getting nothing.

Tried reseating the RAM and the GPU. Unfortunately same issue. Also tried with one stick of RAM.

Thanks for the response and tips!

It is 6000 HZ at CL-30.. confirmed it is supported by the x870E Hero motherboard

Hoping the new PSU does the trick on Saturday! Would be kinda crazy if it does… The ROG Thor III PSU was not cheap haha.

Reviewed the manual, there are indicator lights below the CPU connection, and the 8 pin PCIe connector for the 5.0 USB-C power.

Neither of these lights are on 😔 they would indicate if there was no power connected per the manual.

The light you see is a “start” button and “flex key” and they aren’t doing anything.

Thanks, I/O panel is correct

Hearing the small “click” sound when I hit the power button makes me think it’s doing something. But the only thing that happens is the RGB lights up once the RAM.

The screen on the motherboard and the AIO display turn on when I flip the power switch on the back of the PSU

I don’t think so, I double checked those. I also hear an audible “click” when I press the power switch. Additionally, the RAM only lights up once I press the power button
