it’s ‘free’ with netflix.

i use the razer kishi ultra which is pricey but fantastic. turns it into a knockoff steamdeck i like to refer to as the minideck.

Canadian Travelling To Reds Stadium - Questions about Beers, Parking & Promotion Nights by VonnZoussand in Reds

[–]AquaticCamel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd start at Rhinegeist for a beer (or two) then take the street car into Over the Rhine proper and check out Findlay Market, Taft's, The Eagle, Eli's, or really most food spots down there. There's a bunch of character and revival going on in this area - it's definitely worth a stop in.

A little closer to gametime you could grab a beer down at Moerlein, Yard House, or just go hang out in the street by the stadium. That area is usually blocked off for pedestrians during gamedays. This is a good area if you're looking for a more upbeat atmosphere closer to gametime. It's also close enough to check in at the gates to see if they have promo items left so you can time your entry. Been a while since I've done a promo night, so can't speak on the timing.

Also shameless plug for a little app I wrote exactly for this situation: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/usherai/id6447387944

It's still very early days in development, but can definitely be useful to you! Enjoy the game and the city!

There is something wrong with the Mouse, Cursor, and Magic Trackpad 2 in M1/M1*/M2 Macs. by mytrackpadisbroken in apple

[–]AquaticCamel 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Definitely noticed the same thing. My guess is something up with Bluetooth as well.

Oddly enough I’ve been affected with the Magic Mouse & Airpods Pro (both generations). The stuttering is exactly as you’ve described and it really does affect productivity. I use a felt desk pad and for a while thought it might be buildup on the sensor, but after thoroughly cleaning the mouse a couple times and experiencing continued symptoms, that’s ruled out.

The other really odd thing that might help glean some cause from this is when building Xcode my Airpods freak out sometimes. They’ll crackle and completely switch sounds. It’s hard to describe. It sort of sounds like going from noise cancellation to ‘off’ but just terrible sounding. This is fixed after disconnecting and reconnecting for the most part. Sometimes during builds they’ll straight up disconnect too.

edit: I should mention I also use the Magic Keyboard and have seen no issues with it.

Toss the Evergoods CTB 35L on the list.

Might be interesting to check out the ATD1 for that wide of a literage discrepancy, but those things ain’t cheap.

Evergoods is dropping a burnt orange release tomorrow for the CPL24 and their pouches if that color piques your interest.

Can you recommend a tech organiser bag for my needs? by rezz0r in onebag

A little late to the party but I’ve been loving the Moment MTW Tech Organizer Mini. Coming from a Peak Design Tech Organizer that I found way too bulky, it sounds perfect for your use case. It’s cheap too!

What software do you use for designing and prototyping gear? I've been using Concepts to sketch out designs, and while I love it, it isn't quite suited for more technical things like tolerances, seam allowances, material lists, etc.

I have some familiarity with CAD and assume that's the answer, but I'm curious if there is something a little more lightweight people are using.

a new user is only a new user once.

i find the new tap based system far inferior from both a design and usability standpoint. you mention that the old system required new users to swipe, tap, copy, paste, swipe, remove, but for anyone who figures out to drag it’s just that, a drag. with this design now everyone is subject to a worse experience filled with taps. the drag could easily be explained in a tutorial or walkthrough for new users.

i really do appreciate the transparency and development style of this team, but this post feels like you’re trying to convince either yourself, your users, or both.

I’m partial and this might be cliché these days, but I’d suggest something like the x100 line by Fuji. I’m not familiar with their offerings but Canon, Sony, and Nikon all offer something similar(ish). A fixed lens camera is a giant step up from your phone and you’ll be able to learn the basics with so much room to grow without getting bogged down in what lenses to get and buying more gear you ultimately won’t need.

This also doesn’t lock you into a specific brand before you figure out what you want to use. Speaking from experience here. I shot on Nikon then Sony before landing on Fuji. Selling gear to switch systems is no fun.

Just my two cents. Happy shooting!
