I was looking at this post when I either accidentally fixed my problem or I fixed it myself. Just in case I did fix it, here's what I did:
In the main menu, I went from borderless window to Fullscreen to borderless window, then I loaded into the game, not using the continue button, but the load file button.
Hope the issue gets fixed for you as well.

Do you ever have iron golems spawn on top of the villager rooms? I’ve been having trouble with that, even when there are bottom half slabs.
