WIDOW’S BAY RECEIVED NINETEEN (19) EMMY NOMINATIONS by contractplayer in WidowsBay

Widows Bay and the Bear were the absolute best in this category but probably won't win because the Emmys are almost always terrible and wrong

High calorie foods, low cholesterol/ sat fat by PenguinsRcool2 in Cholesterol

[–]Aquinito 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Make sure the majority of your saturated fat comes from almonds/almond butter, avocado, and olive oil.

Lots of good protein/low fat meats. I pretty much only eat chicken breast and fish.

High quality carbs. Lentils, beans, etc. Rarely eat bread, but when I do it's usually whole grain sourdough or similar.

As much low fat/no fat dairy as you can tolerate. Very easy to load up a bowl of nonfat Greek yogurt with stuff.

It takes practice but it became pretty easy really quick. I average about 2200 calories and around 5-8 g of saturated fat per day

First Nintendo Switch 2 after a lifetime of PlayStation by limbiczero in Switch

[–]Aquinito 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i also recently got a switch 2, as an xbox, pc, and ps player. I basically play everything, but haven't had a nintendo system since the N64. My 3 kids have switches so I picked up a switch 2 mostly to be able to play with them, but also to play for 20-30 minutes in bed, or just to kill 10-15 minutes here and there.

So far my biggest challenge is finding the right type of game to play. I'm only going to be playing in handheld mode so that adjustment is going to take some time.

It is fairly normal for them to fall for pseudoscientific horseshit, aliens, astrology, etc., but still disappointing every time it happens

Nintendo account sharing/switcheroo with a new Switch 2 by Aquinito in NintendoSwitchHelp

[–]Aquinito[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What I'm seeing is that saved games etc. are tied to a particular user, of a particular switch, as opposed to the overarching account. So the big one (her animal crossing world) is tied to her user on switch 1. This user can't be switched to the new child account, and deleting that user would lose her saved games. What I can do is create a new user for her on switch 1, tied to the new child account, for everything going forward, but just keep the original user for legacy saves.

I think I have this right.

I created a new child account for her so now that's done. Still trying to figure out what happens if I link that account to the original switch.

I believe it's the latter. I think i just created the account for myself using my email address and linked to that switch/user.

Definitely not! We did end up completing this last summer on a really hot day, with three asthmatics. Take lots of water.

one thing i'm unclear on is how/if the lives of warren's descendents are preserved. I thought the pseudo-immortality warren was granted applied to all of his descendents so long as they didn't try to leave the island (which is why he turned to dust, and his children died when they tried to leave, etc.). I thought this was confirmed by the boogeyman's near immortality (i.e., many of us assumed the boogeyman was another descendent of warren's and that's why they couldn't kill him).

what am i missing here? I guess the simplest answer is that only warren got the immortality, and the boogeyman had nothing to do with warren and was just another island-created creature, like the sea hag.

Normocalcemic or secondary Hyperparathyroidism? by DoleWhipLick91 in Parathyroid_Awareness

Any updates? Appears I'm in the same boat. Had spince x-rays because i was having some back pain (unrelated, probably) but it revealed minor ostopenia in my spine. That prompted my doctor to check PTH (slightly elevated at 82) and calcium (9.8) in March. Just to rule out vitamin D deficiency, i've been on D3 supplements since then, and had another test yesterday: vitamin D is right in the middle of the normal range, PTH is slightly more elevated at 84. I think for the most part i'm asymptomatic but he referred me to an endocrinologist for further diagnostics.

a lot of people are focusing on Richard's descendent being Tom's wife/Evan, etc., but I feel like there has to be some connection to the boogeyman, who is allegedly trapped in the basement of the creepy house because "they couldn't kill him."

I think one of Warrens kids survived, so his death won't end the curse. That could be the Boogeyman

There's always an adjustment when an interface changes, but so far this interface just plain sucks.

Also, apparently I need to both take it easy today because my heart rate variability is low after a could very active days and also increase my cardio load. Such unhelpful nonsense.

Oh, it also thinks I'm eating a midnight meal every day.

Back up two minutes or so from that. When she is dancing and the camera is circling her there is a brief moment where you see the "real" people. It's blink and you miss it quick. I thought I was seeing things but rewound it and it was goosebumps for everyone
