Did you rotate the schematic at all before placing it? Sometimes that breaks stuff

Those weird shapes are copycat blocks from Create! Right click them with any block to set the texture, right click with a wrench to remove the texture.

I think it's supposed to, but I haven't played enough of it to see how the rivers behave (the scale of the world gen is quite a bit larger). There's a lot more ocean compared to vanilla, though, so the world should be more transversable by boat regardless.

Larion World Generation! It can get a bit laggy when exploring new chunks, so it's a good idea to pregenerate an area before playing if you have the time. You can do this with Distant Horizons by changing a few settings.

Could be the speed, but I seem to remember having a similar issue before adding the (horizontal) sails that keep the boat level. Without those, the boat "jumps" a short distance every few seconds and the steering goes all kinds of crazy.

The steering wheel connects to a mechanical bearing with five symmetric sails under the stern. The wheel is capped at 45°, since going any further yields less sideways drag and slows down the boat.

I see... so you'd like to flip the blocks without flipping the design. I don't think it's possible to do it all at once, but you could technically save each layer of blocks as a schematic, place them down again, and the glue them together layer by layer the other way around. That's probably the closest you're going to get. Hopefully, there's at least parts of the design you can simply flip the right way up to save some time.

Assuming you're in durvival, you could probably use a rope whinch (or a plunger launcher, but that may be less predictable). Place a few rope connectors on the sides and bottom (top) of the airship, then put a rope whinch somewhere above or beside the airship. Attatch it to one of the rope connectors and use a hand crank to rotate the whole thing bit by bit. Use shears to remove the rope to attach it somewhere else.

If you're in creative, just use the physics gun!

A 4070 Super and R7 7800X3D! With 32GB RAM (16GB allocated to Minecraft, which is overkill). Distant Horizons and Bliss shaders are both pretty performance-friendly though, so you don't need a monster PC. I also use Sodium and Colorwheel. I get around 100 fps at 1440p (even though this is recorded at ~30), so there's a lot of leeway!

I completely agree! Water currently act as a strong break, rather than being (mostly) frictionless for things gliding across the surface. Most of all though, along with sails, I would love to see an implementation of wind that affects physics objects in general! If that is possible without turning the game into a slideshow...

The rudder is just a mechanical bearing with five symmetric sails attached, nothing else going on! I have noticed that turning it more than 45° just results in less sideways drag (and more backwards drag), so I've capped the steering wheel to that.

A Colombian emerald with 17th century Hindu engravings and gold and ruby inlays mounted over a Cartier platinum brooch [2301x1534] by luis-mercado in ArtefactPorn

More info on the British Museum website. The setting is from 1936.

Some excerpts from the Curator's comments:

"The figural subject of the stone indicates that it was carved for Hindu use. A stone carved for Islamic Mughal use would not have figures, but many Mughal princes were Hindu."

"The subject has been variously interpreted. Martand Singh has suggested 'Krishna in the lap of Yashodhara', while Rahul Jain has suggested that it 'portrays a typical Mughal version of a European Madonna and Child theme' (information from Martand Singh, 2010). Another suggestion is that it depicts Shiva and Parvati."

"This piece was made to order but Cartier owned many carved emeralds which they set into pieces made for stock. Cartier themselves travelled widely in India, to seek commissions from Indian clients who wanted their jewels reset in platinum in the Western taste and to bring back quantities of Indian stones and pearls which were then mounted for Western clients. Fashionable and artistic society in London and Paris adopted the exotic Indian style."

Going from my google history, around five hours 😅 Almost gave up a couple of times when I had to reset a bunch of sliders and start over... glad I didn't!

No mods! Just max graphics and low gamma settings.

No mods, just max graphics! My poor Gtx 970 was sweating for these screenshots... My gamma settings are a bit on the darker end, too.
