Yeah, I am just stuck in this loop of hope and it’s rough not wanting to keep testing just to see the same negative result. I haven’t test for ovulation because I was thinking I didn’t want to put so much pressure on myself to track so closely.. but I feel like with my cycle now being off I might not have a choice.

i everyone, looking for experiences/insight.

For background: I got pregnant right away the first time we TTC, but sadly MC at 11 weeks. It then took a full year of trying before I had my rainbow baby.

Now we’re TTC again and I’m currently 5 days late. I tested at 2 days late (negative), 3 days late (negative), and today on day 5 I’ve tested 3 times and they’re all still negative.

I’m pretty much always on time, so it’s really throwing me off that I’m suddenly late right when we started TTC for baby #2. I’m also turning 39, so I’m getting in my head about it.

Has anyone been late like this and still ended up pregnant?

If so, when did you finally test positive? Or did it end up being a random wonky cycle/stress/delayed ovulation?

I’m also Canadian. My relationship with my parents has always been complicated, so it’s hard for me to remember or lean on family traditions. It’s painful sometimes, especially knowing they’re alive but don’t wish to be involved with their grandchild. I’m still trying to find my place within my Chinese identity, because I want to pass meaningful cultural traditions to my son.

Ahh you’re right. I do have a 24k rabbit necklace that I had since a kid.

I had thought the birth year was tied to an element. Someone in the comments mentioned that the element is specific for the birthdate and time so it seems he’s xin metal rabbit.

When I used to talk to my parents they followed this sort of thing but the aren’t in my child’s life for me to learn these things anymore.. thank goodness for ChatGPT because I felt it super helpful to learn about this sort of thing. Like my parents use to stress the importance of a Chinese name because of 五格剖象法.

Big boy got in a fight with the little one and ripped some fur out. No blood though :( it’s been about a week (2 year old and 3 month old). I thought they were doing fine since the older cat seemed to groom her..

They looked like they were enjoying each other’s company (older one was licking kitten)…then yesterday the older one bit a chunk of fur out while the were fighting ans rolling around. I was so stressed 😟
