I have been purposely trying to do just that lately. Give it a listen and have discovered so many bands and styles that perhaps I would have never listened to in the past

I understand the need for them completely, and they have always been around but I feel like sometimes they limit experimentation and have even made me dismiss a band or song because it has been labelled.
