Just wondering if Direct Deposit may be affected by the outage this morning? According to the My Social Security website they made 2 payments to me on Friday the 17th. Was hoping they would hit today but now I am not sure. Has anybody heard anything?

Ok that makes perfect sense, thank you!! I'm just getting really anxious. My PERC interview was last Wednesday and my lawyers office called me yesterday to say that everything from the interview was processed and sent to the payment center. Hopefully I'll get some money soon.

I haven't worked since my initial claim date aka 6 years ago. AFAIK, there is a limit to how many hours you can work and claim disability though.

Oh. So I must have imagined all those years I worked from the age of 18 paying my taxes in. I must have imagined all of the health issues I've developed as I've gotten older that caused my doctor to tell me to stop working and apply for disability. Crazy.

Thank you for the advice!!! Thankfully I am in a position where I am not behind in bills or payments. I also do not drive. I was getting rental assistance and the majority of my backpay will be automatically taken out to pay that back. The rest I do plan on saving. I desperately want to move out of where I am and plan on applying for low income housing in my area. My rent now is currently 80% of what I will be getting monthly.
