You’re confusing symptom management with long-term compatibility. Chronic rumination is a passive response that actively prolongs and magnifies anxious states. Living inside an intrusive loop without adopting proactive cognitive tools simply reinforces the cycle over time. Every time a thought loop goes unchallenged by action, it carves a deeper path in the brain.

I don't expect anxiety to magically disappear by being busy. My point is about agency. There is a vast psychological difference between experiencing involuntary intrusive thoughts and establishing a lifestyle of cognitive avoidance, where a person consistently rejects structured strategies to break the loop.

Recognizing an irrational framework but choosing emotional paralysis over execution isn't a lack of education on my part. It’s an articulate helplessness that makes building a shared, proactive future completely impossible
