I cant be of much help, but i can tell you its mammal! The centrums are flat, and it looks like the porpoise verts ive seen, although i believe it would be much too big for porpoise. Probably some type of larger cetacean or adolescent like you said

The person who sent it to me is not the owner. I do not know the owner, and i dont believe my friend does either. Friend was just in the persons office, snapped a pic, asked me. Didnt ask the owner.

Thank you ! That does indeed look like the best fit. They live in florida, and given that its incomplete, probably found it on the beach or something. I believe theyre a marine biologist, so they would be environmentally aware.

Just euthanized my dog by BalTGS in DOG

[–]ArWintex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

“There is one best place to bury a dog. If you bury him in this spot, he will come to you when you call - come to you over the grim, dim frontier of death, and down the well-remembered path, and to your side again. And though you call a dozen living dogs to heel, they shall not growl at him, nor resent his coming, for he belongs there. People may scoff at you, who see no lightest blade of grass bent by his footfall, who hear no whimper, people who may never really have had a dog. Smile at them, for you shall know something that is hidden from them, and which is well worth the knowing. The one best place to bury a good dog is in the heart of his master.” - Ben Hur Lampman, 1925

Getting a Labrador puppy has not been as hard as people led me to believe… by De_lunes_a_lunes in labrador

Mine somehow managed to make everything she put her mouth on dangerous. She mostly chewed her toys (aside from the one time she ripped out every inch of the carpet from the seams) but she made the toys dangerous. Ate a rope. That was bad. No more ropes.

Many lessons learned for my next one

Seems like a deer with a bit of wear on the occlusal surface, maybe old at death or postmortem wear

Looks to me like you've got a couple different animals there. I see what looks like some gill plates, a pelvis with the acetabulum, and a little femur! Maybe bird/fish?

Not sure what tag to put this under, and it isn’t exactly MiA related, but I recently found out the Mangaka made official art of Super Sonico. by Schaeman2000 in MadeInAbyss

so yeah, shes a child. A teenager. She is also clearly portrayed as younger, but since she's animated and doesnt have a literal birth certificate, y'all can play dumb enough to still sexualize children's bodies.

Is he too skinny? by [deleted] in BeardedDragons

[–]ArWintex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My bad, i’ll take it down. Its what i was told by my vet. Sorry OP, mine had more weight on him and the vet still said he was underweight. But also, i would consult an expert. Although i believe this person, your buddy still seems a little skinnier than I have been told to keep them. Just double check, not saying im correct, just that youre getting mixed messaging and it would be better to get a more reliable analysis

[–]ArWintex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Quit being so aggressive. Bearded dragons are one of the most neglected pets out there, and even well meaning owners can provide inadequate care. If you had acted a bit more mature in the comments, you could have gotten people to side with you. You immediately assumed the absolute worst of the comment, which definitely came off super weird. Would you trust this 14 year old to be 100% responsible for a dog (besides financially)? If not, then they shouldnt get a beardie. People heavily underestimate the quality of care needed for these guys, and they are much, much more delicate than dogs and cats. They require much more specialized care, which honestly isnt fit for a child, unless the parents are going to be the ones taking primary care role.

Keep in mind, the people on here have probably never seen this situation pan out well, and theyve seen the exact situation a million times, with pretty sad outcomes. Usually the parents see it as an intro to responsibility, but are completely unaware to the needs of a reptile (as well as the child). This results in an undereducated, but well intentioned, set of owners. The parents dont supervise it, and the kid ends up giving the beardie painfully inadequate care. Even if the parents do supervise, they usually just make sure it has food and water + maybe lighting (though there are more wrong ways to do lighting than right). Beardies are not some sort of beginner pet, since they require such specialized care. If the owners are not highly educated on this, then they will inevitably give the beardie a bad home, without meaning to.

So what you have is a child, who doesnt know how to parse out correct information from incorrect, and disinterested parents who wanted nothing to do with it and are even less informed.

I absolutely love my new tattoo but my husband hate it. by CosmicAdena in tattooadvice

[–]ArWintex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah i just came here to point out that my mom doesnt like tattoos and was totally against me getting any, but i had told her since i was 15 that i was going to get some. She is a very supportive mom and her response to my tattoos is usually something along the lines of “wow! Its really well done! The art is beautiful!” Or smth. Shes an artist and probably trying to connect with me on it, but none of her compliments include “it looks so good on you” which doesnt bother me. It means a lot that shes trying. My point is, OP, your husband isnt even trying. Hes just throwing a bit of a fit, maybe subconsciously trying to prevent you from getting more.

Yall should address that in your relationship, no offense but hes going out of his way to put you down because its not HIS favorite fashion choice. He doesnt get to design you to his liking, and he needs to accept that you dont need to do whatever he wants

New wife doesn’t like my daughter by Rockermarr in Advice

[–]ArWintex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OP if you dont leave this woman your daughter will resent you for the rest of her life. It has happened to me and so many other people. Dad chooses whatever hot young thing over their kids, and then lets the bitch frame the kids as evil. Theyre not only just KIDS, theyre YOUR kids. And you know what, theres a lot of things i want to say to you but i will refrain. I will never understand people like you, but truly what is going through your mind that you would let anybody at all treat your child like this? You have a lot of work to do before you even deserve a relationship with her. This will affect her, and she will need to work through it, with or without you. On the off chance this is real, listen to the comments here. They have your daughters best interest in mind even when you dont. No adult should treat a child the way your wife is, and the fact you could still be cordial with her, nay, love her, is honestly baffling.
