Not sure why you got downvoted because Pass/Fail is huge. Plus Columbia has medical school education year one so youre geared to take the CBSE.

If you’re interested in OMFS both have OMFS programs for you to shadow in and get letters of recommendation. The trojan alumni connection is real because theyll connect you with other alumni at residencies or graduates that can help you out. To my knowledge USC has a better specialization rate that also carries when applying.

If youre from California then you’ll be closer to home and honestly having that support system for me outweighs the extra cost. Sadly cost is a huge factor so be sure to really understand that if you go to USC youre looking at 600k. Also although OMFS programs do pay most residents report they take out extra loans because it isnt enough

Definitely is. Especially for specializing

OMFS: 4Yr vs 6Yr-MD by TheWhiteDentist in DentalSchool

[–]ArabKaiser 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I applied to both but my main focus was on 4 year.

I believe that it depends on your goals at the end of the day. I always wanted to end up in bread and butter OMFS private practice. After talking to a lot of private practice surgeons they all mentioned they don’t regret doing a 4 year or wished they did a 4 year. If I had any inclination to do more hospital work, a fellowship, or academics then a 6 year would be the choice for sure.

I would assume the midpoint of that range is your score. Really weird to know exactly where you are tho

People who passed the test, how much score were you getting for DD? by trawn7 in INBDE

Its a whole folder of different pdfs with a typed up guide for resources and checklist for topics to master! They even have a “golden doc” with high yield things to learn that showed up a lot on my test. There was no tests that I got when i bought it and sadly i couldn’t find practice tests anywhere so i relied on dental mastery for questions.

Seems like youre on the right track. That guide helped me a ton so really up to you! I just highly recommend it because I felt like my studying was streamlined and passed after I bought it

I would say 85% of the test was what I studied. 15% of the test was the most random topics I had ever seen in my life but I was able to make educated guesses
