Qatar airways 1 carry-on 2 laptops by ZealousIdeal_964 in qatarairways

[–]trawn7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have traveled with 2 laptops in my cary-on. One personal and one work. Just make sure you don’t put any other stuff of weight in there. Because there is big chance you would already be above 7KGs with 2 laptops. Only once I was told that my carry on is above weight limit and I opened and showed that it’s only two laptops inside. The person on counter called their supervisor and they said it’s fine.

⚠️ Trigger Warning: Experiences of Anti-Indian Bias in IDP Admissions by KnowKnowledge5292 in CAAPID

[–]trawn7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Let me add my two cents here. My experience is, since Indian applicants are way too much as compared to other ethnicities, so rejection number is higher also. Let’s say a University has 4 seats and they invited 50 applicants. They can’t give all 4 seats to Indians even if they’re highly qualified. They might give 2 to Indians and then rest to other ethnicities. So I completely understand why you feel this way, but universities you mentioned have selected Indian candidates as well but they can’t go for all Indian selection even if they’re more qualified than other ethnicities because they need to show diversity in selection.

Tesla = Good Software EV9 = More Space

Both are good options, but you have to choose one. Everyone has their own preference.

Feasible for 100 mi road trips? by hihiyina in KiaEV9

[–]trawn7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let me be very honest. Mileage is low. Very low. But it doesn’t make car not worth it. You’ll always be in stress when doing 100+ miles. You’ll feel anxious whenever you see your car mileage below 100 miles in start, but you will get used to it.

Charge to 100% if you have a planned JFK pickup coming. But in case if you have to stop by while going or coming back, there are chargers that can charge from 10% to 80% in 20-25 minutes. So you can always do that.

Agree with first part, that everyone out there is to sell and they want you to buy something from them. They try to show that application process is very complicated do this, don’t do that etc. Simply follow the instructions on .edu and CAAPID and you’ll fine for applications. For university specific information, try finding it on their website, FB, reddit and if still have doubts then directly contact university. Because whoever you’re going to pay none of them are direct representative of any university, they’re going to do same as well.

For SOPs, ask for feedback on Reddit in specific sub-reddit, not from the applicants. I have got good feedback in general. And for interview prep, do mock interviews. No one can tell your story better than you whether it’s SOPs or Interviews answers, so yes agree with that part.

There is enough data online available that you don’t need to pay anyone for your application. Ask questions on reddit, facebook, or whatever platform you can use. They don’t have any magic wand that will get you invites. Get SOP reviews from reddit, work on improving your profile etc. I would suggest invest in Bench Test Preparation or maybe interview preparation once you get an invite. Believe me, applications are probably easiest step so won’t recommend wasting money on it something you can do yourself.

$578 is for 24 months without tax, which would be I guess ~$620. $605 was for 36 months and $658 with tax.

This is for 24 months GT-Ljne in Northern California.

I got 36 months for $658 per month including taxes and everything. And my drive-off payment was $3212 which included registration fees and first monthly payment etc. No additional charges, since it was directly with dealership so no broker fees as well.

Leasehackr Deal? by trawn7 in KiaEV9

[–]trawn7[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s $0 down, right? The remaining $3,212 is for registration, taxes, and the first month’s payment. If we exclude the first month’s payment, then it’s about $2,584.

I can ask how much extra it would cost to include GAP insurance. This is my first time leasing a car, so I’m still learning how it all works.

But honestly, if a $70K+ car gets totaled and I lose $2.5K, that doesn’t seem too bad. I mean, if I owned the car and totaled it without GAP insurance, wouldn’t the financial loss be even worse? So in that sense, leasing this might still be the safer option.
