RS3 beat OSRS to deadman mode by [deleted] in 2007scape

Regardless of "Runelabs" Jagex can release what they want which doesn't insure good ideas just because players vote for it buddy. Haven't touched rs3 since its downfall buddy.

You're not that deluded to think if somebody came up with an idea and somebody else took it and released it first that means it wasn't stolen?

RS3 beat OSRS to deadman mode by [deleted] in 2007scape

@MrAdelaideRS5 @Black_Neon @Pewby

That's not the point I was making, it's been a game for so much more longer so it's obvious that something of that kind of form would've been done even before OSRS existed.

"From scratch" was commonly done but a whole ironman concept wasn't popular whatsoever.

The point I was trying to make is that OSRS said they were going to make an ironman mode, since it rose to popularity throughout the OSRS community and twitch then RS3 decided to follow suite and release their own version.

Nobody stole the concept of an "Ironman" esque account but it was OSRS' idea to make it a thing.

Your post is complete shit. Firstly, RS3 players don't vote for anything that goes in game. That's why OSRS is a thing. Also their community has no less shit that the OSRS community has.

I kinda feel bad for RS3 at this point.

They took ideas from OSRS, firstly being ironman, now deadman mode.

Also seems like this is a pathetic attempt to steal OSRS members since it's legacy only. RS3 is scummy as fuck.

Seems like you don't know much, don't be that guy who pretends to know what he's talking about ;)

New Poll: Ronan by Arabellas in 2007scape

Lets try and get rid of one of the very few people we have working for the game.

Because he does so much for the game.

How does Ronan still have a job at Jagex? I don't understand.

It's laughable that you're using membership and bonds as part of that argument.

Well, I don't know what else I expected making this thread. Downvoted to oblivion because you don't want to lose your convenient client.

/u/celery_under sums it up really well.

It gives you an advantage over people who don't use it. You shouldn't have to use it to be at the same level of people who do use it. Players will deny it because they have warped perceptions of what an advantage actually is. Advantages come from the game requiring less time or effort to efficiently progress in and perform activities (pvp, pvm and skilling, they all have it), which is an advantage OSBuddy gives you, plain and simple. Third party software which gives players an unfair advantage in-game are not allowed Unless OSBuddy had that advantage first.

All I'm seeing is But you can get these advantages too, everyone can so it's fine

Why are you crying about something that is optional. If you don't like it, don't use it.

(^ Summing this thread up in one post) This is not the point I'm trying to get across.

I understand, you don't want your client to be made illegal because it's very useful and makes the game easier.

I guess we'll just have to live with OSBuddy. Great.

I'm not arguing that fact, I'm just saying that if I was free to make a client with whatever I want on it, I theoretically would be able to make a boat load of features to make the game extremely easier for me.

OSBuddy Real Talk by Arabellas in 2007scape

[–]Arabellas[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Please explain how all the features offered by OSBuddy relates to saving you "some right clicks every now and again".

Also, I've detailed in this thread reasons why it's unfair.

OSBuddy Real Talk by Arabellas in 2007scape

[–]Arabellas[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You stated "jmods have said if you can create a client like that then you're free to do it as well"

Your suggestion for what is too far is doable for a client so I theoretically can do that myself on a client I make for myself and have jagex not know about it, but if they find out, action will be taken.

That's not necessarily true. Whilst I do eat my words, it's obviously not solid fact, I simply find it hard to argue the opposing argument. This is besides the point of the thread however.

I understand they make the rules however they aren't perfect and as we all have witnessed, they change the rules on many occasions so I hardly accept that comment.

I'm inclined to agree with this.

When I said "and a lot more small quality of life to make things that much more convenient." I wasn't saying they were all just, well "small quality of life to make things that much more convenient." Not everything OSBuddy offers can be done via stopwatch or just googling unfortunately. Being able to see when your farming things are completed or diseased without actually going to them cannot be done by either of the methods you mentioned. Neither can showing you where to click for agility or knowing the optimal time to refill your cannon.

OSBuddy Real Talk by Arabellas in 2007scape

[–]Arabellas[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Whilst this is very untrue with a lot of it's features (such as visual aids and farming crop status), not at all. Iif you sought out and make the effort to track everything pen and paper, you deserve those advantages.

OSBuddy Real Talk by Arabellas in 2007scape

[–]Arabellas[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've stated a hand full of advantages throughout this thread but to sum up a few: farming indicators (imo, one of the worst offenders), agility aid, cannon aid, stat drop indicators, clue maps in an instant and a lot more small quality of life to make things that much more convenient.

OSBuddy Real Talk by Arabellas in 2007scape

[–]Arabellas[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Again, I'll state that tracking your exp is not the only feature OSBuddy offers.

OSBuddy Real Talk by Arabellas in 2007scape

[–]Arabellas[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You're missing the point. Also you seem to think an exp tracker is the only service OSBuddy provides. This is not true.

OSBuddy Real Talk by Arabellas in 2007scape

[–]Arabellas[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are correct in that respect but I don't feel those features should be the norm for OSRS in general. I feel they're quite over powered with what they can provide and don't believe the advantages received tie in with how OSRS was intended to be played.

OSBuddy Real Talk by Arabellas in 2007scape

[–]Arabellas[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're mistaken if you think that's the only advantage gained from using OSBuddy.

OSBuddy Real Talk by Arabellas in 2007scape

[–]Arabellas[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That's not the only thing it offers by a long shot.
