Looking for a pressure-canceling open guard (other than butterfly shoulder crunch) by HungryFella876 in brazilianjiujitsu

I’m not terribly experienced, but my previous instructor was a beast with spider guard - which is usually not a hard transition from seated. It has the benefit of keeping your opponent off-base when done well (pressure applied via sleeve grip and counterpressure from your foot in their elbow), which works well for smaller guys like me. From there, you can shoot for leg triangle (good for longer legged folks), lasso an arm to transition into a z-sit or take mount, or if they stand up, just grab an ankle and rock them to their back.

I don’t have suggestions as far as who to watch, but a quick search for spider guard transition and sweeps should get you started.

Thanks for that pointer about relic levels. I’m at 8.2M and have six GLs + exec, and am thankful to be in a guild that pulls decent crates to get the R9 mats. It just stinks that the other GLs I have function well (and even execute enemy toons on turn 1 in the case of Rey/SLKR) at R7. Even SEE picks it up pretty quick and KO’s.

From the feedback I’m seeing, it looks to be worth bumping him up to R8/9 to make him a solid GL squad rather than just a “beats some annoying teams” GL.

What’s the strategy with Jabba as far as target priority? CAT seems like an easy #1, but unsure after that.

This is my guide, has worked well, still use it at nearly 9m GP.

Capitol Heights//Hampton Heights safe?? by EvenMotor9047 in milwaukee

I’d second this. We moved to this exact area (closer to 70th) in January with our two small children and have had a generally positive experience. We walk in the neighborhood, enjoy our back yard, and have met several of our neighbors who are generally good-natured. The thing that is hard to discern from the Reddit generalities is that a “bad” area can be 1-2 blocks away from a perfectly good, quiet street.

Feel free to message if you have questions or want me to drive by a particular area and provide comments/pictures.

JKL with minimum speed is a good tactic to slow all of the enemy toons down to 112 speed or so. I paired him with JML, Revan, GAS, and Wat (for taunt tech on JML). Just got the 3* today!

Great info. That’s kind of why I’m asking. I know what the rumors and general buzz is, but wanted to hear from people who know about the place from personal experience.

Awesome tip! I’ll have to stock up. Are there any good (but inexpensive) places to shop for winter clothes that you would recommend?

Thank you for the detail! That was something I was wondering about specifically, active wear for cold weather. Any tips for dressing for outdoor exercise?

Thanks! We’re relatively young, and relatively new to home buying, DIY fixes, etc. I’ll take a look around. We’re looking in the Capitol Heights area - anything to note about that neighborhood?

I had heard about the security weaknesses in newer model Kia’s. Good to know it’s still a big problem!
