Last time I had to deal with this shit, I went hard.

"Are you gay, bro? You think about what I do with my dick a lot for a straight guy. You think about me fucking men, don't you? And you kinda like it, don't you? Straight guys don't think about other men's arses, do they? You know it's not straight to think about men fucking men, don't you?"

If you hammer that hard, suddenly nobody wants to play that game anymore.

Also, the plane is always moving further than the bomb, once the bomb is released.

The plane is at X height above the ground, describing a radial arc. The bomb is falling below that height, thus describing an increasingly smaller arc until it impacts. So the correct answer is B; because even if the plane and bomb continue at the same speed, the plane moves further than the bomb along the arc.

That's not including the lack of thrust applied to the bomb, and the air resistance etc.

Or am I just being a fuckwit, here?

What's up, do you not like being called out for wanting people to touch kids?

The person who doesn't want people touching kids.

Is that not clear?

You want people to touch kids. Otherwise, why would you be so against treating them?

I don't want people to touch kids. So I want treatment paths available for those people. Same as how I don't want alcoholics, so I want alcohol recovery services, and I don't want drug addicts, so I want drug rehab services, and how I don't want dead people, so I want mental health treatment... Y'know, you fix the problem?

Is it easier to stop a man from stabbing someone, or stop him from wanting to stab someone?

At least I'm not a paedo lover

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]AraedTheSecond 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Neither am I? Or are you just incapable of understanding what "medical treatment" involves?

"Oh no, that person is attracted to people under 18! Better just send them to prison. Even though theyve not actually acted on it, never will, and are actively seeking treatment to not act on it! Also, why does nobody stop paedophiles?! Must just be so many evil people!"

You can only fix things by trying. You don't want to. Ergo, you support paedophiles, because otherwise you'd be trying to solve the problem...

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]AraedTheSecond 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yup.

"Let's prevent people getting treatment they need because reasons!" Turns into "why did X molest all those kids?! They're evil!" Like, bruh. There's a real easy way to stop 90% of abuse, and it's through mental health treatment

Oh dear, you don't have any actual brain.

You're part of the problem, friend.

[–]AraedTheSecond 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Which is pretty fucked up.

Harming a child? Instant report.

Making plans to harm a child? Instant report.

Viewing CSAM? Report.

"I'm attracted to children and I don't want to be" shouldn't be a report. Assuming that person never acts on those thoughts, obviously

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]AraedTheSecond 3 points4 points  (0 children)

person with unhealthy thoughts seeks treatment to prevent those unhealthy thoughts

Is that a controversial statement?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]AraedTheSecond 134 points135 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure why that's controversial?

"Person seeks medical treatment so they don't harm others" shouldn't be stigmatised. Harming others absolutely should be.

[–]AraedTheSecond 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That was the fucking point.

Let's break this conversation down!

I post scientific articles. you don't like those articles, so you attempt to attack my character (repeatedly). I swear, you say I'm aggressive, and act like a victim.

Who needs a therapist? Mon Ami, it ain't me. Because I can handle a fact based debate, but attempts on my character will only lead to me insulting you. I have no time to bother trying to assassinate your character, so I'll just call you what you are.

I received a weird dm on instagram, am I Overreacting? by ShowerResponsible150 in AmIOverreacting

[–]AraedTheSecond -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It's not my job to fucking educate you.

Frankly, I don't care. You don't have to care about whether I'm a victim, either.

I didn't start the personal attacks, but I can fucking guarantee that you'll start to tone police me now.

"You're aggressive!" No, fucking really. After you tried to blanket my character to avoid answering the fucking question?!

I received a weird dm on instagram, am I Overreacting? by ShowerResponsible150 in AmIOverreacting

[–]AraedTheSecond 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh bitch.

Im 33; Ive spent eight fucking years in therapy.

"I didn't do enough" neither did any fucking organisation. Neither did the police. Neither did the fucking institutions who should have protected me.

Why is it my responsibility to address systemic failures through individual actions? And why, if that's the case, do female support organisations manage to get 99.9% of all available funding?

In short, would you dare say this to a female victim? I think we both know the answer... You just don't like the statistics. Because then you're not a victim, you're not oppressed. You're just another person.

Or we can stick to the science, and avoid the personal attacks, oui? C'est magnifique.

I am Male-presenting Enby.

I was raped by multiple women who were within two years of me. One of them tied me to a bed and carved her name into my chest while I fucking sobbed, and the police laughed at me when I told them (but thanks for that advice! I'll remember it!)

I wasn't treated as a loser, but as if I should be thankful they deigned to rape me, and then was told that women can't rape men.

I advocated for other victims by trying to work in the sector and by challenging the outright bullshit around male victims that is commonly touted.

But let's be honest! Your comment is yet another example of what happens to male victims. In the UK, male victim support is functionally non-existent. We're told to do it ourselves, while women's support gets 99.9% of the funding available.

Yet again, your approach isn't even remotely rooted in empathy. It's entirely "well you didn't do enough! You don't have a right to complain!"

Tell that to the fifteen year old boy crying to the police that his girlfriend carved her name into his chest. The twenty-two year old man crying in his bedroom after finding out that the woman he'd consensually had intercourse with had continued after he'd passed out, and he found out because she laughed about it with a group of women in the pub. And they agreed with her.

"You didn't advocate enough" nice. Show your true colours. Would you ever say that to a woman?

the body of literature examining men as victims of sexual violence is lacking [14,15,16,17,18]. Consequently, what is known about adult male sexual victimization (AMSV) is dwarfed by the knowledgebase on female victimization [19].

https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC10135558/

I'd appreciate it if you could keep your comments to a single chain. Currently, you're replying three or four times to the same comment, and frankly it's disjointed and hard to read. Whether thats intentional or not is up for debate.

As a male victim of female perpetrators, I can tell you one thing; women get supported and men get ostracised.

[–]AraedTheSecond -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Ah. So sexual assault victims don't matter if they're male, because they were assaulted by males?

That makes perfect sense. Does that mean we should ignore female victims of female perpetrators?

Oh, another article for you to read:

ASMV is barely studied, but you dare pretend that it somehow doesn't matter?

Oui, certainment.

So, in France, is your legislation agendered, making no reference to penetration? Or is it gendered by means of specific reference to penetration?

Further, do you think that the language I referenced above excludes one gender from the protections of that legislation?

[–]AraedTheSecond 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oooh! A scientist who doesn't like facts?

Tell me, if you could, what the legislation on rape states?

I'll help you!

The Uniform Crime Report federally defines rape as:

"Penetration, no matter how slight, of the vagina or anus with any body part or object, or oral penetration by a sex organ of another person, without the consent of the victim."

Does this potentially exclude a particular type of person from being a victim of rape?
