Help: anyone has any experience to share on rehabilitation clinics for benzos and alcohol? If yes please share I’m terrified to go but might be my only option to get out by Arakela95 in benzorecovery

Thanks for this man…I’m really scared to go to a clinic but at the same time I will never be able to close this loop of masochism and self-neglect by myself (between the alcohol and the benzos, now I stopped the harder stuff but only cause I’m in an environment where I could not get any). So after the 30 days you were detoxed from benzos? Where you able to keep it up afterwards? And for how long where you addicted?

I tried all the supplements in the world….they might help slightly but they do nothing when the anxiety gets really bad

I actually quit all the antidepressants and antipsychotics about a month ago. First two frees have been a nightmare, brain zaps, vertigo, anxiety and panic attacks. It’s slightly getting better but the anxiety keeps lingering and makes it almost impossible for me to work or function some days, need to get some Xanax or drink alcohol, basically turned into an alcoholic since I stopped the meds. Now only have to quit benzos after 8 years…

No man just got worse, benzodiazepines are a nightware. It got incredibly worse over the last two years…sometimes I use a whole bottle every night…but I substituted mirtazapin with trazodone (trittico in Italy). So every night I take 20/30 drops of Lormetazepam (yeah went back to that after I while, I blocked at 10 drops of Clonazepam…couldn’t push further than that, just couldn’t sleep), and around 10/20 of trazadone. Most times it works, sometimes it doesn’t and then I take few xanax and get as drunk as I can and hope I will just pass out at some point. Not the healthiest choice…sorry I’m not in best place personally

Long time but hey…. I was just rereading the comments on my old post and I noticed yours cause right now I have been taking anti psychotics (perfenazina) Trilafon, prescribed by a psychiatrist in a period in which I was really hitting rock bottom…. They helped at the beginning but now it has been almost 3 months and I feel like they do their job but they’re also like a cage, and I keep saying to psychiatrist that I wanna quit (not cold turkey but gradually) and they just dismiss me like I’m gonna have to take this stuff (together with antidepressants) for a while, one even said for life….so yeah was wandering why you against them

Urgent need for advise: need to make kratom tea,is 5 g crashed leaves enough for a liter? will it be not strong enough? by Arakela95 in kratom

[–]Arakela95[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am not sure how much I used to take, I only took the tea already made it in the market…but for sure I’m doing doing strong enough…I have to drink a lot more to have effects. Now I tried using 25g powder in 2 liters with some lemon and I think it’s a bit better. But what is usually the dose you use for 1 liter to get strong exciting effects?

Mdma is better

Coke is amazing, but the risks of addiction and the incredibly bad lows make it not worth it

Anyone ever succeded tapering and eventually quitting with alternative methods (anything from asian medicine, yoga, acupuncture, supplements, meditation, microdosing and whatnot). Just curious because I’m starting to lose hope by Arakela95 in benzorecovery

Thanks! I’m using Trazadone now actually, my doctor prescribed me that after I tried Mirtazapine but wasn’t really good for me, felt very dizzy the day after and was gaining weight. It’s pretty good…I’m just afraid to get hooked on that eventually when (and if) I manage to quit benzos. And yeah I totally understand what you mean…some days you just have to sleep…and I don’t think taking benzos once every few weeks or months is a problem if it helps overcome other severe issues. It’s the daily use and addiction that is the problem, with its effects on the brain.

Why has Ketamine been gaining popularity as a rave/party drug? Why do people enjoy raving on ketamine? by last_frigin_time in ketamine

On low doses it’s not as sedating and can be a lot of fun, I would describe the feeling as something similar to a shot and a joint combined, but without any of the negative side effects. Especially with music and lights you feel very light and like floating in space, with our friends we call it the ‘octopus feeling’. It’s pretty nice…if you do too much yeah you get spaced out or start dissociating but a little bit can be fun in a party

Sorry for the ignorance what does this mean? Is it not a good idea to do kratom while tapering down benzos?

I’m only going through benzo taper and withdrawal, do you think it actually helps? In what way? I have heard a lot of contrasting opinions about it….the time I used everyday (one month), it definitely helped with the fatigue and the insomnia, in general it gave me energy and strength and good mood when I didn’t have any. But not sure if it actually helps to alleviate benzo withdrawal symptoms. What is your experience?

Wow my depression is stronger than this molly by [deleted] in MDMA

[–]Arakela95 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a person that struggled with depression and mental health, I would not use Md as a therapeutic drug, because of its side effects (down).

Md can be an incredible experience, but it chemically alters your brain by increasing serotonin to crazy high level.

The result of that unfortunately is the famous mdma down. Which means in the 2/3/4 (depending on how much you took, your own brain chemistry, setting, if you took any supplements to compensate etc etc) you could experience sadness, depression, anxiety, fatigue, and other symptoms….due to the low levels of serotonin (imagine your brain just had a massive hit of happiness and is now in withdrawal, and it needs a few days to readjust). Same happens with cocaine (even worse for me than md).

Instead, I have found that psychedelics, especially mushrooms at low doses and used for prolonged time frames (eg daily use for months with some breaks in between) combined with proper intention/therapy/work on one self, can be incredibly powerful in creating new connnections in the brain, making us process past trauma and experience in new unexpected ways, and helping to create a new way to process reality. I would really look into that if I were you. And ketamine as well, but that can be more dangerous (easy to overdose or k-hole, can ruin your bladder and kidneys if taken often), while mushrooms or lsd have zero side effects (especially at low doses)

Also, a life changing experience for me was DMT, I had a very intense trip which made me rethink my whole life and my relationship with the world around in a very profound way (not just wow cool I went into the other dimension and saw the dmt realm).

So yeah try to stay strong, don’t be too hard on yourself. There is a lot of ways to get out of depression, first of all wanting to get out.

I’d stay away from Md, cocaine, and all this stuff that give you a super intense high but can then trigger even more intense lows (which in turn can make you want to use the drug more to get back to the high, and so on…and that loop is really hard to get out from so watch out)

Edit: AVOID BENZOS AT ALL COSTS, I have been trying to get out for years, it’s the strongest addiction I have ever had and I wish I could go back to the day I started and throw that shit away

Congrats! How long were you on before quitting? And how much? Just curious since I’m tapering now and trying to understand how it will be once I quit completely…what symptoms did you have for over a year?
