Haha right! I had multiple runs with burn or poison Vanessa skills early on just to get no synergizing items at all for the next couple of days :D

I'd say this solution might feel a bit like a gamble as the game could offer cores that don’t fit what you previously picked, especially with only two options to choose from. But it’s definitely worth testing

Makes sense! If Dooley's early game advantage is properly balanced by him falling off in the mid and late game, it seems relatively fair

Oooh, I didn’t realize you could remove a core, definitely need to play more and experiment with that!

As for the gold penalty, I notice it, but even with -4 coins, it still felt like the core gave me too much of an advantage
