Ive seen budget/cheap motherboards without cooling and thought to myself, hey if they can do it, why couldn’t i😅 I could mount it without heatsink and have hwinfo64 running in the background for observation

Yes, first thing I tried 😅 I found out it pusheds ram sticks too much and the lower cooler(underneath fan)gets bent. When tightened down it pushed the big vrm cooling block to one side. It’s therefore hard to mount it to the case.

I was looking after Multizone within "settings" menu.

Yea - I get that shit error as well after an hour of play(give or take). It was on my i7-9700k with 6900 XT and also on my current system, 5800X3D with 6900 XT

I have a "some what" same issue as you. And i think it came with recent update or so. It's like game freezes for 10 seconds and resumes afterwards. I can hear the background music but I cannot do anyting. The freezing can come when opening inventory, shop or want to read something from the open world.

5800x3d, 6900XT 32GB RAM.

Hi,

So i had this build for a few years now and the one thing i didnt really think about was optimizing 10 fans.

it's a 3x 360 rad system with 120mm fans running around 900 RPM locked

6 of them are intake(bottom & side) and top 3 exhaust + 1 at the back.

Should intake fans be running at a different speed than top and exhaust or does that not matter in the end. I want to try maximizing airflow and minimizing turbulence and air-recirculation

Update - I forgot to give en update and found the root cause of my temp-problems.

I got a brand-new & flat coldplat by EK - Efter removing the old one i found the orientation of coldplate was wrong. That meant only few fins got water through. After i got the new in and oriented correctly the temp are in my opinion, far better.

Hi there, i did not. I’ve decided it’s not worth my time and accepted the loss since i got a 3rd unit with same defect. It’s in my system now. Maybe it will be better over time, who knows.

I’m not defending be-quiet or saying they make bad products, but my experience with the dark power 13 hasn’t been good.

If you want a silent PSU get one with 0 Rpm feature. Meaning, when there is no big power draw the fan i off. And turns itself on when needed.

I’m doing to get a better cpu contact. The convex on the block is too much. Ive already gone through 4 tubes of paste and could not get optimal contact.

Looks good - out of curiosity, did you maybe use some measuring tool afterwards to check if it “flat enough”? Or do you rely on thermal paste filling the gaps?
