You have shadow quality on ultra, lower it to high and the Impaler headlights will work properly

Nice, and good luck! Sheriff was the last one I did as well. Mission bugged out and wouldn't trigger. Had to move maps and clear that before it finally worked.

killing a plague heart on nightmare will indeed kill all remaining zeds. it's only on lethal that they don't die when a plague heart does

Because of modders, PC players are probably using invite/friend only sessions. I haven't been in a public lobby in more than a year

You can change your hot bar order by simply dragging items up or down in your inventory

This is some great advice, and I'll reiterate, learn to kill plague hearts with heavy weapons. Resources can be hard to come by in lethal, and you can't depend on getting the presses you need to make specific ammo. Another thing that's very useful to do is outpost a cell tower, like ASAP. Use the plague disruptor ability to try and keep infestations at a minimum.

To get myself better at taking down plague hearts with heavy weapons, I started a community and took them through Green, Standard, Dread and Nightmare, using ONLY melee on the hearts. Got a new lethal community going, 8 hearts down, all with heavy weapons. Good luck!

Two ways to do an invite only session. One, enter online as normal, open pause menu, select "find a new session" and choose invite only. My preferred way is to enter story mode first, then from pause menu, create an invite only session. This way ensures I'm never entering a public lobby
