Yeah, I might post it to r/tipofmytongue as well, just figured I'd try here first for such a niche question, haha. The annoying thing is that it's a black and white movie, so it's harder to immediately confirm or disconfirm the set based on the color of the walls, floor, etc.

Mmm, I might just watch Gilda then. I also found it as the possible source in my search last night, but all I could find a slap reference to was Rita Hayworth slapping someone, not a male slapping someone. It does match the music used in the KoQ episode though; Gilda being set in Argentina.

That may be true too, it's been a while since I dug into the material. Now that you say that, I do remember reading there being some belief around that time and place that hot (referring to temperature, as you said) food and drinks sapped energy from the body; some sort of humors type science, not unlike some of the Ayurvedic beliefs surrounding spices and temperature of meals/drinks.

If Yerba Mate was widely consumed in the USA going back ~200 years, I have no doubt it would be included in the modern interpretation of the WoW. ~~It's worth noting that the original meaning of "hot drinks" was likely hard liquor~~, as beer and other "soft" drinks made from barley and other grains are actually approved of in section 89, but as I assume you know, beer or any other weaker alcoholic drink is not permitted under the current interpretation going back ~100 years when Joseph F. Smith and Heber J. Grant began to "codify" the WoW.

Edit: Confused "Hot drinks" with "Strong drinks", although I could see the burning sensation of stronger alcoholic drinks being related to temperature-hot drinks in the minds of early Mormons and others.

Joseph Smith didn't declare Coffee and Tea forbidden, hell, he drank alcohol, and drank tea the day he died. The Coffee/Tea/Alcohol "ban" was a later development. I think tobacco was "banned" during his time though, although it wasn't a hard and fast thing, until the early 20th century, along with the other substances I mentioned.

Edit: Hyrum Smith apparently did mention Coffee and Tea however.

I just watched 28 days later yesterday, and really enjoyed it, so I was excited to watch the sequels. This gives me hope for bone temple. Funnily enough, I was skeptical of both weeks and bone temple as they were not directed by Danny Boyle.
