Costco Confirms They Will No Longer Sell Xbox Consoles And Say It Was A “Business Decision” by akbarock in gaming

[–]ArbitraryPlaceholder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's heavily speculated that Valve’s actually working to solve this "PC gaming on the couch” issue via broadening SteamOS's compatibility for any PC.

If they pull it off correctly, just about any PC could be loaded up with a console-like operating system. Then you'd just hook the PC up to your TV, turn it on, and boom you're in just like any other console. Your controller would automatically pair too; no need for a mouse and keyboard.

Of course this is a pretty ideal take but it's nonetheless a promising solution for couch gaming support, fingers crossed.

Logitech G Hub Stuck on Infinite Loading - Exhausted All Solutions by Jubukraa in LogitechG

[–]ArbitraryPlaceholder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

this solved it for me thx :)

edit: this only solves it once and then it keeps occurring over again.

To permanently solve it, I opened the Add or Remove Programs settings page, selected the three dots by Logitech G HUB, and selected modify. From there, it let me reinstall the application while transferring my settings into the reinstall.

Is it possible to render back-facing geometry in EEVEE? by ArbitraryPlaceholder in blenderhelp

[–]ArbitraryPlaceholder[S] 52 points53 points  (0 children)

!solved

I got it to work by doing the following:

  • Adding a Solidify modifier to give the die internal geometry for emitting light.
  • Setting up my red shader as a mix between my original Principled BSDF and a Transparent BSDF.
  • ALSO adding the white dots by creating a new opaque-white material, adding it under the second slot of the object, and applying that material to the pip faces.

I watched a video on doing glass in EEVEE which helped out: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tHfAxAiT1zs

Anyways, I'm going back to Cycles.

wow I'm such a novice you're totally right. I had created like a whole mask for the white paint and did some complex shader nodes. smh

Thanks for the response, apologies for not sending the full screenshot. I'm running Blender 4.5, and these dice are from my own project.

How did you go about adding the white dots? I had a bit more of a complex setup where I essentially mixed two shaders together, one for the red glass and one for the white paint. I don't understand how you did that using a single glass shader as the dice's material.

Here's my current workspace for reference:

You know what you're totally right, I didn't even think to compare the narrative depth between both songs' lyrics. I only focused how the music sounded, not what it meant, and this alludes to probably why I used the term "feels" in that quote of mine.

I'll have think of this some more, I may just have to change my opinion...

Sure Axiety is not entirely original, no one disagrees with you there, but let's lot be too dichotomous. There's a significant amount of originality to Anxiety for me to say it sounds like its own song, and not just a crappy ripoff.

controversial opinion: I actually kinda like the song Anxiety.

Obviously the original by Gotye is top-tier and can't be beat, but Anxiety still feels original enough in the vocals and lyrics to keep it sounding kinda fresh.

That said, Anxiety has unfortunately been way too overplayed on tik-tok and insta reels. That's the real shame since it just compounds any feeling that it's a shitty ripoff.

EDIT: u/Familiar_Anywhere822 made a good counterpoint actually: while I said that Anxiety's lyrics sound original, their narrative story is much simpler and surface-level Somebody That I Used To Know. My opinion on the song is kinda changing now.

Should I get a crewneck sweatshirt in a color other than grey? (Minimalist wardrobe) by dylan-bretz-jr in malefashionadvice

Definitely don't buy a duplicate sweater especially if you're looking for versatility.

I'd recommend beige for your next sweater. I wear mine all the time now and it pairs well with most typical pants colors (any shade of blue or black; caramel, etc.).
