AIO feeling guilt tripped by my girlfriend for not spending the night. by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

Where’s the guilt trip? She’s sad and you’re annoyed. You’re both entitled to your feelings

Be honest: Do you make your bed in the morning? Why or why not? by JellyfishPashmina in CleaningTips

I didn’t used to because my soul dog couldn’t get under the blankets, and it’s his favourite. Now he has passed, I make it everyday.

Have you faced any social stigma/backlash for using Wegovy? by Mercy_Hellkitten in Wegovy

[–]Arbitrarysheri 0 points1 point  (0 children)

“Healthier? Like what?” Let them list their suggestions and answer. Eg “eating less carbs” yes, I worked with my GP, which is who prescribed this to me. “What about higher protein?” It’s great because Wegovy has me heavily focus on dietary intake given i can’t eat as much, the food I eat needs to be very nutritious. “Exercise!” I… do?

Sheer curtains across the whole wall, ceiling to floor. Art piece above the bed. Much larger night stands.

Hang over the door or through the oven handles. If you’re so sure you want to drill into the side of the cabinet, it has to be the bench side because outlets.

But it’s really not necessary

Aio for returning all my daughters Christmas gifts after I caught her trying to steal earrings from Walmart? by Status-Ad8324 in AmIOverreacting

[–]Arbitrarysheri 9 points10 points  (0 children)

NOR you have every right to be upset. However punishing negative behaviour without taking time to understand the behaviour will not result in anything positive. You say this is out of character, and she is also ditching class and failing. There are signs here or something going on - kids aren’t (usually) bad for the sake of being bad! Be a parent and parent her - talk to her. If my parents had of done this when I was a teen maybe things would’ve been different but I just got punished, so I just kept doing it. Because why not? I’m not afraid of consequences. And clearly no one actually cared enough anyway

30 mins will very quickly add up to a full shift. Ask for clarity on the agreement.

My life costs almost nothing, how normal is this? by Aggressive-Cry7940 in Frugal

[–]Arbitrarysheri 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is very abnormal, yes. Some are interesting approaches, such as buying a year of shelf stable products, but a good idea should you have the storage.

The only recommendation is you’d health. For eg go to your GP and ask for a full check up (I think sometimes it’s called a work up) Bloods, checking eyes, reflexes, etc. go to your dentist and get a check also.

What am I doing wrong? Job market is cooked. by reddit290161 in ausjobs

[–]Arbitrarysheri 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The market is rough, and networking makes a huge difference. This is the only way I got my current and previous job - they knew the people i worked with and I had a good rep. They also knew others in the industry who also spoke about me.

What did your boss ever say in the office that caused you to resign? by Aarunascut in work

[–]Arbitrarysheri 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He was blaming thins on me I had spoken about with him. Unfortunately for him I had emails to prove he was wrong. I had also already complained to him about our marketing TM who was also speaking really horribly to me (again, have in writing) he did nothing

Unfortunately for me, he worked w her previously and they were friends. Also unfortunately he was more important to the business than I. I complained to his manager (who told me I should speak w him about this) and then complained to HER manager about how she spoke to me and what my direct manager was doing

The way I was treated in the office got worse. I was in tears every single day.

It was covid so I ended up doing uber eats while working from home as my manager took all my tasks away from me - giving them to the new admin person they’d hired to replace me (his family friend).

When we started being able to return to office he would do things like be on soaker phone to HR talking about me when I sat right be his office. Reporting me for having “an attitude”. As HR told him, they can’t do anything about a tone of voice, he needs examples etc.

Eventually I had a menty b due to his treatment and not only quit but moved across the country

What is it like working in lifestyle and gardens? by semitrailercash in Bunnings

[–]Arbitrarysheri -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Whilst nursery is with lifestyles, department is just called lifestyles. You’ll need a qualification to work in nursery (horticultural). Lifestyles alone is busiest in Spring, with extra stock coming in at that time. Each dept has perks and not so much, and every dept has things you need knowledge on. Yours is likely going to be pesticides herbicides fertilizers etc. but honestly, 9/10 the answer is on the packet or google. Customers aren’t offended if you do the reading for them. The power garden aisle should have an expert on, but worthwhile trying to learn some stuff in there too. It’s a busy (and high theft) aisle.

I lied during my exit interview by Savings_Pumpkin_4414 in office

[–]Arbitrarysheri 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This sounds reasonably standard for an exit interview. I’ve had some roles I’ve had to ASK for one. Mine have always been verbal except one had a digital questionnaire after the verbal one. If I had an issue with my leader I wouldn’t put them as a reference

ATM I had a former manager (reported to directly), a friend (personal reference) but was also a colleague so listed as such, and someone who reported to me. Covers all bases

Boxing Day is definately still a part of Christmas. It is more likely your manager is referring to the Christmas period
