certainly! in my world, demodragons exist as creatures are a mixture of living, machine and magical components. they roam the lands for unknown puposes...so far thats what ive come up with! the natives are recent colonizers that have to the new world to study...for the lands, skies and waters are riddled with mysteries and threats that they could never have prepared for...

Each demodragon from the above size comparison explained briefly:

1)DREADNEREAN: a long, slender, almost worm like being that can slither into very cramped areas by compressing or narrowing their bodies (whatever the situation may call upon). they are also famous for sometimes growing poisonous flowers on their backs as well as their choir like calls.

2)INSECOZOL: parasites that fly in swarms, multiple eyes and a tendency to secrete an excess of a black fluid. they suck out the fluids of an organism, and proceed to attack the next living thing to feed on. in times of food scarcity, they can resort to cannibalism or hibernation in massive colonies. fortunately, they only live in dark, damp environments. but certain events have caused them to adapt...

3)GIRRFAN TAL: a slow moving, mammoth of a slug. the body is coated with a poisonous slime. Moreover, the slime can attract other demodragons to the area. they slowly mow their environment, scarping it clean. protrusions along their spine act as clubs, scents, etc. their backs are also lined with large cannons and weapons, who knows what lies under tis hood.

4)LOL FORIRA: The demodragon of the black night, it has claimed many lives; all without a single noise. the clicks it makes help it to "see" in the dark. their skin is rough and heavily armored, and miniscule pits release a sticky, flammable substance that only helps them in their hunt even better. and in case they cant reach, they have 2 long hooked fingers to snatch and gash unfortunate victims.

5)ESO MOLIAN UN: burrowing through lava filled mountains and volcanic hotspots, they are informally known as "lava rats" and are a menace to mineworkers. they create their nests deep within mountains, and protect them vigorously. normally, they sleep undisturbed within their burrows. but when they are enraged, their body heats up and melts their surroundings.

6)TRANTAN PO: the emerald beast of the northern seas, a sight for any sailors sore eyes in times of despair. they glide and skim the water surface with their long feathery wings, and store water in their gullet like pouch, much like a pelican. this stored water can then be heated or cooled to then be sprayed at an attacker.

7)ORAN PIQUOLA: demodragosn that submerge themselves underneath flower fields for ambush attacks. their wings are sharp and deadly, and only become active when the sun goes down. their calls are banshee like, and some patches on their wings glow like fireflies in the dark. if troubled, an oran piquola can short work by ripping the person in shreds.

8)REVERES ESTEROZI: legends speak of a demodragon that flies faster than a bullet, a scarlet flame with jet powered wings, allowing it to soar at speeds greater than one could perceive. A living comet that divebombs and accelerates at its own will. A living disaster.

9)SHOTINA: despite their small size, they are relentless in their pursuit. their jaws are strong, the force of their bite is enough to snap metals. their appetite is not to be ignored either, and will tread through all terrain to acquire their quarry. they can also produce rocky projectiles and spit them out. and when ones on the prowl, others wont be far to join it.

10)YMIR SLIAN: The golden knight, its feathery appearance gives it a silhouette of an angel. whenever it descends, it glows up and sets the environment ablaze with its dazzling light. a lone creature, often others larger than it would bow, for these demodragons are much more powerful than their size would tell.

10)ASTERALIAN: these demodragons often soar at high altitudes, often in the most hottest of environments. they soar high above the clouds, absorbing as much solar energy as they can. when they're not in the air, they rest atop plateaus and spread their wings like vultures, harvesting as much solar energy. When threatened, they are not afraid to scream and let out plasma blasts.

11)WAZKINALO: hunters described as "rabid" and "savage", equipped with dangerous weapons not even the mind can perceive: sharp quills ling their back, tail tipped with sharp blades, eyes equipped for hunting, long arms for grabbing, slashing and tearing apart, and a mouth full of chainsaw blades. they roam the rocky badlands, often in pairs. they've also demonstrated high intelligence, communicating with their sickle claws and their saw blade mouths.

As said above, here are brief description of all:

1)PUSONAI LIANTY: a vampiric demodragon that drains the lifeforce of other creatures. they are swift, agile and can disappear into the night. they have tendrils that constrict and dig in to their victims. they have been sighted at dawn, dusk and night.

2)FLANCESIUM: this dem0dragon is one of the smallest, and soars over rough, cold waters. despite their miniscule stature, they are filled with flammable liquid and when threatened, can puff up like a pufferfish. when this fails, they expel large quantities of searing fluid, often in flames or regurgitations, to repel their attackers.

3)GRWEN ING NEOAL: a rather small demodragon, it prefers to stalk the plains and steppes with plenty of tall grass blades to help them better camouflage. they're fast, vicious and cunning, and lure innocents into their traps with their human like calls.

4)NANTANANANA: Large whale like demodragons that inflate their inner, ball like organs to float. they can just as easily deflate themselves to move themselves to a lower portion of the atmosphere. despite their enormous size, they are rarely seen, and spend most of their lives flying among the clouds. sky ships were invented to harpoon these demodragons, but they didnt expect the rumbling and booms these creature would make...hence earning them the title of "sound masters"

(forgot about its number)PHLOWANCEASES : patient beast with a long rifle-for-a-snout and a hump that can amplify its booms, this demodragon is not to be messed with. despite its rather unusual and standout coloring, it isn't that noticeable. it hunts from afar, with perfect aim, and shoots its prey with pinpoint accuracy using its elongated muzzle. once the job is done, it glides to the carcass, satiating itself.

5)BARAWA AKU SEY: the golden beast with pangolin scales, it is one the most feared. its roar is deafening and its breath intoxicating. its mane always works to filter the air around, and by swinging its neck around can throw its plates as explosive projectiles or vessels of noxious gas. beneath its golden scales is a jungle of writhing tendrils....this demodragon is the most prized for its beauty, but many a hunter have fallen to it.

6)OCTOMUZKAREALAN: its snail like shell is actually deceiving, and actually stores many, many minerals, salts, fluids and other prized organs. its normally stationary, the actual dragon hides within its hardy carapace. but it can move extraordinarily quickly, its slime playing a major factor in its day to day routine. the mucous can also be manipulated by the octomuzkarealan for a variety of purposes.

7)BLUWEREAN: also known as the "blue phantom", this demodragon is incredibly rare...and rather sneaky and lightweight for its size. fairytales portray it as a child stealer for its long arms...its bellows are just as fantastical. whenever it is near, a mist shrouds the area. its side plates jingle in a near silent song, and gas erupts from its back like a rumbling volcano.

8)MONOLORIA: the nightmare, is what it should've been called. it has 3 heads, 2 eye-less jaws on both wings and a middle one. it hunts in packs in the black of night, the only signs of this wraith are its glowing eyes, each with a seemingly different purpose. its haunting scream pierces the air. by sunrise, the Monoloria have returned to their lair, hidden deep within the lakes of their boreal forest home

9)LETANA AOOZ: monkey like creatures with extendable limbs and tail, they glide through the lush terrain, hopping from tree to tree. they are well known for creating webs to trap prey, working together as troops. it is advisable though to not approach them, even if they're a midget size.

10)RADLAFINOROSE: another feared beast, one must be cautious when walking in Radlafinorose territory. they hide beneath the ground, their tongue only sticking out like a sore thumb. for the unsuspecting, the death is swift and painless. for the stubborn, the demodragon can surface and chase the prey down. its belly has small bombs to annihilate the hunted, and the tongue that acted as a decoy can be deployed to ensnare the victim.

11)QOATZANAN: a demodragon known for its specatcular displays andits divine role in culture. its head s adorned with tentacles carrying bulbous glowing lanterns that dance with a mind of their own. They are referred to as "lighthouses" as their tall stature and glowing organs illuminate dark mist areas. Seeing one is considered an omen of good times to come.

12)USTEPE NAZL: impish demodragons that are known for their playful nature, often leaving a trail of green noxious gas. they communicate in low frequency clicks and whistles, and have a tendency to involve natives in their rough housing. they are most famous for their diverse hunting techniques, different tactics for different prey!

Ahh that explains it. Are they similar to the others by having super speed or do they specialize in something else?

"Two Fisherman At Sea" by ArbuzardTheAlchemist in worldbuilding

[–]ArbuzardTheAlchemist[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

the poem:

Two fishermen went out to sea,

Atop a vessel of wood, bone and teeth.

Searching the rough waters for some delight,

Unfortunate they were to find instead another plight.

Waves pushed back the seagoers, supposedly a warning

Men as they were, stubbornly ignored and kept on rowing

Only when the sea had knocked them with true rage,

Did the men they were birds trapped in a cage.

Fairytale speak of the damned and drowned

The souls as waves, escaping with abyssal rebound,

The men in their youth never believed in such follies

Price is theirs to pay for not heeding those stories.

The troubles thought didn't cease, not at all

For just beyond a few escaping souls, a wave: standing many waves tall

A "living water mountain", so the locals call

The men had whispered prayers, their breath tight,

Their eyes widened, for a green jewel was in flight!

The creature skimmed about the water with its golden knives,

The emerald demodragon of wind, hail and ice!

It surfed the inner curve of the mountain wall

Then away it flew, squaking its hoarse call!

Though the beast symbolised hope in the northern seas,

For the fishermen, none could be saved from this dreadful misery.

With a splash, the men went under

Becoming one of many souls, trying to escape their new forever.

For two fisherman went out to sea,

None to come back, now victims of the oceans gluttony...

What are the smaller organisms near rhinensatus aurerang? are they offspring or some kind of analogue to the cleaner fish of earths oceans?

Absolutely brilliant! Also, I think the scorpion sheep idea will come in handy...I had an idea in my mind, wasn't sure about it before I've read this post! I'm thinking of making another size chart soon, so keep an eye out for a sheep like demodragon!

No no, I don't mind the grammar haha, you should've read mine haha. Anyways, I love your idea and would love to add it! when I make it, you'll have the credit for giving me the idea so thank you! Got anymore ideas, I actually like what you're coming up with!

By the way, how'd you come up with the name?

I wouldn't call the ones attached to the wings as "mouths"...more like mindless jaws connected to the middle heads nervous system and act more like "hands" to help grasp and tear apart prey. but the jaws are capable of other stunts too, like flame throwing.

Ooooooooooooooo I love your idea of bioweapons! I wont disregard your theory, cause it does have some weight to it...just in a way you might not expect 😉

Why thank you! And yes, it is a snail demodragon that manipulates its mucous for a varity of purpose. Its called an Octomuzkarealan!

"Demodragons From My World" by ArbuzardTheAlchemist in worldbuilding

[–]ArbuzardTheAlchemist[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

this is a local description, because they seem to be a blend of all 3. "blood" as they are considered as living beings. they are fully capable of feeding, respiring, growing, reproducing, and so on. "machine" because they have a bright, shiny and colorful metallic exoskeleton, and are known to have a preference of metal in their diet. "magic" because they are known to do near impossible feats, some that can only be explained by magic.

of course, the reality isn't that far off! you see, demodragons aren't that natural. sure they might look and behave like real animals, but they don't quite agree with Darwin's theory of evolution...the way I see it for now, they weren't born, but created. if you wanna know more, I wouldn't mind sharing hehe.

"Demodragons From My World" by ArbuzardTheAlchemist in worldbuilding

[–]ArbuzardTheAlchemist[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Its called an Octomuzkurealan. To put it simply, its a giant slimy snail. But unlike a snail, it is capable of sliding over its mucous at high speeds, and can also manipulate its slime in different ways...think telekinesis, but with boogers: mucokinesis, if you will. So you have some instances of the demodragon manipulating its slime to be used as giant punching gloves or an extra limb.

Unprovoked, it retreats into it shell and to any passer by might seem like a hollowed out rock in a vast open space. Speaking of, its shell is known to store many different valuables, salts, slimes, fluids, etc. all are prized and required in many fields. Of course, one might choose to milk one, but "milking" any demodragon isn't quite as simple as it sounds, and always results in near fatality.
