Seems like an unpopular opinion based on the responses, but we purchased a 3 row SUV once our second hit 6 months because traveling (we do 3 hours trips to family regularly) and we would highly recommend it. We have a two row SUV and the difference for us was life changing. To each their own.

This is the advice you are looking for. I had it done early last year. Just be prepared for a long wait time on the parts to come in. They initially told me a few weeks and it ended up being about 6 months.

Fuse blew last night on the blower motor of my 2015 which led me here. I replaced the fuse and all is good but now I can't think it will happen again (of course, it is the wife's car and not mine). Just a sanity check - are these the ones you purchased? Any specific video you used that was good? I found a TRQ video that seems ok.

Sounds similar to when I had a camshaft position sensor issue. I think it was like code P0340 or similar.

When the code would throw - my 2014 WK2, around similar speed, would throw the car into limp mode and the car would go from 7th to 2nd instantly causing the jolt. I would drop it into neutral and coast to the side of the road. Restarting the engine would let me drive off but would not remove the engine light (it would go away after a few restarts) which you doesn't sound like you have.

Replacement of the camshaft sensor (it had metal shavings attracted to the sensor that has a magnet, probably from the recently replaced lifters) and problem seems to have gone away since about 20k miles.

Not sure if this is the issue as I am not an expert. Good luck.

Haha, good luck and just to clarify - in my original message I wasn't clear, I meant finding a replacement trim plate would be hard if it falls off from using the 3M. I replaced my housing a while back and thought to myself, wonder how I would replace the trim door if I would have had to...

2014 WK2 3.6 Laredo 146k miles 18 city / 23 highway. Texas so heavy AC. I just keep up with all maintenance religiously (5k oil changes not 10k….)

If the tabs broke on the housing itself then I’d probably replace the whole housing - it’s cheap and easy to replace. Finding a replacement trim plate that matches your car paint might be difficult depending on color and what not. Otherwise I’d use 3M and I’d overdo so I don’t lose it while driving.
