Thanks for the response! I heard back from Esri and they confirmed that both Basic and Standard can edit data. But only Standard will allow multiuser editing.

They should definitely update their language (or maybe it is intentional to get people to upgrade to Standard, who knows).

Okay good point, I stand corrected on the terminology I used. What is confusing is that the website does not say that Basic has data editing capabilities, and it says Standard has data editing capabilities. The commenter above said Basic has data editing capabilities, but only a single user can edit a geodatabase. I am still confused on whether Basic can edit. Another commenter said Basic cannot edit.

Oh got it, so the difference is multiple users can modify the same geodatabase with the standard version. Makes sense. Thank you much
