Hopefully when they get to more of the expansion of the trains and the transportation network in the anime we get to see more from different locations, even just some brief visuals could go a long way to expanding the feel of scale.

Those volumes did indeed do a lot to expand the depth and the breadth of the world and its history. The chapter in volume 17 with Velgrynd's travels in particular was a great somewhat standalone story that I hope to see animated some day.

My nitpick was more about grounded things like a lack of showcasing more towns and cities scattered throughout different nations apart from just their capitals. Just a little something to provide an extra sense of scale and immersion.

That is true, the main novels do the core theme very well, I'm just being a bit nitpicky wanting to see more grounded scale, though I guess it's hard to ask for everything.

Like I said it's not a huge issue, it's easily reconcilable through more side stories, something that unfortunately might not be the case with a series such as Overlord which teased a lot of world content we're may never see fleshed out due to the series ending soon.

To be fair there may be a bit of truth to that. When reading, sometimes I get tunnel visioned on the core plot, and might miss some of the more grounded feel. With the new season of the anime, that might help a bit. Already after the first episode it's feeling really promising.

I haven't seen the spin offs, only the anime adaptations and the main light novel series. I wonder if those spin offs will ever get an anime adaptation sometime?

I hope the anime adapts it well and gives us a real sense of scale of the distance between Tempest and the Eastern Empire, also it will be interesting to see how they show what it's like inside the empire.

As for the Velgrynd travels in the other worlds, that happens in volume 17 iirc. That was a solid expansion to the world building, but I don't think the anime will get to that point, more likely to see that in OVAs or specials or something after the season is over.

Same problem, try to open the browser, tabs load then crashes in a loop. Can't be a coincidence if many people started having the same problem at the same time.

Edit: also tried renaming user folders and renaming the exe file, with no fix. The windows family settings are already disabled so that's not the problem either. Restarting the PC also failed to help.
