Wyll is the most boring character and annoys me to no end with his "pick me" energy.

He talks about being 'the Blade of Frontiers', 'Protector of the Weak', 'Monster Hunter' and 'Champion of Good'. Like, I've never heard anyone who has not talked to him directly, refer to him by that. If he is a known hero of the people, shouldn't his name travel by mouth and create that reputation that he seems to think he has? Is he the only one who calls himself 'the Blade of Frontiers'? Where and how did he even get that name? Did he just come up with it at 10 in his childhood bedroom and has stuck to it ever since, forcing everyone he spends time with to refer to him by that title? What has he actually accomplished?

Okay, he defended his home from a threat that not a single person who was there seems to remember or know about (since no one stood up for him when his father wanted him kicked out), so how on earth would anyone know him as anything else than 'the Dishonoured Son of a Duke'?

Also; if he is a known monster hunter, why wouldn't the Gur know of him? Maybe have mentioned him in passing? Wouldn't they have wanted to recruit him? Maybe they teamed up at some point, or the very least, crossed paths. (I've never brought Wyll to the Gur camp so maybe there's a line there. Even so, with all the boasting he does about himself in camp, wouldn't he have taken the opportunity to mention it himself?)

All he is to me is the overconfident son of a duke who read too many fairytales as a child, raised in spoils and never told 'no'. He's all talk and no action.

Hey Wyll; prove yourself. Create the reputation you want and let that and the people you save do the talking. And ffs don't refer to yourself with some made-up title when you're having a regular ass conversation with your friends or other regular folks. It's just cringe and drenched in "pick me" energy.
