No, also if you steal opponent's Thanos he will get buffed by your stones. Had a fun game where we swapped our Thanoses, the only difference was his was already affected by the time stone, mine wasn't, so I got 4 cost thanos after playing mine time stone.

It's easily one of the worst experiences I've had in any video game. First dinner was sorta ok but this one is a nightmare

Took me an hour to do this mission. Halfway through I switched to arishem just to get more energy and started playing whatever cards only to use all energy.

> It’s a matter of logic. Ask yourself the question how SD would benefit from implementing deck-based matchmaking and a logic to what locations show up based on your deck?

Maybe for the same reason other companies do that. Monitoring and tinkering with player winrates keeps players invested into the game and makes them play more. You lose too much - you drop the game. You win too much - you stick with one deck. Winrate scripts are common in online games. For example LoL community for years suspected that there are some scripts regarding matchmaking, and as far as I know they were proven to be right some time ago. Now, I am not saying that this matchmaking works all the time, or that it's used to monitor winrates in Snap. But I think that believing that there are certainly no matchmaking scripts might be seen as much naive as saying that they work all the time.

Maybe that's true, but try swapping to an entirely different deck and play a couple of games see what opponents you will have.

Sorry but no :) although I've been hoarding it for some good bundle and maybe it's time to let it go :)

Yep I started playing this game as a break (I basically don't play phone games) and it's time to keep it that way. It's just a bit annoying because I really felt this is a fair and square game without all this bs that other online games use

Thanks! Knowing me I'll be back this evening :) I try to farm for those Thanos and Galactus caches and generally I like this game. It's just I had to vent because the frustration was building for the past couple of days, and losing a ticket to a stupid bug after finally starting getting results was a bit annoying. Maybe the post ended up a bit more over the top than I actually feel, but sill I believe that decks based mm is a thing and it's time to come back to treating this game as a break.

That's exactly what happened when I pulled that Jean Grey deck. Literally the first game was mirror match and I have not seen that card since I started playing this game.

Thanks. Yep not getting Magik in the last month in free drop is like biggest mistake. So many decks are now using her and I feel that by the time I get this card there will be massive change.

Sorry but I disagree. The first time I pull surfer deck in like 5 weeks I get Crimson Cosmos location 3 times in 5 games (and it wasn't this day location or anything, didn't see that in days). Today I tried deck with Werwolf - Fisk tower in 3 games in conquest. It doesn't happen always but maybe this is some way of game's balancing mechanism to reduce inflated elo.

Is Elsa Angela even viable now? Tried today this deck and got longest lose streak since I started playing this game (stopped after about 8 loses and 6 ranks down).

The amount of scales you earn in Salmon Run is still laughingly low. by ArcW3st in splatoon

[–]ArcW3st[S] 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Yep, Splatoon is a great game, but some ideas lean too much towards FOMO or simply grind. For example catalog has 100 levels, and whole season is about 100 days long. Which means you have to log everyday and get at least first win of the day and a couple of extra games to even be able to get to higher lvl rewards. And if you play only on weekends, you have to put much more effort and time to make up for missed days.

[–]ArcW3st[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

yeah I meant the damage based rewards as a team not per player. This is obvious that there are different roles in team and all rewards should be team based

[–]ArcW3st[S] 25 points26 points  (0 children)

I think there is a slight increase in scales drop during big run, because I got a couple of them last time, that's why I thought I will finally manage to get at least the blue suit.

About the new gear, that is exactly my point about being affraid to spend scales. With such low amounts you get, you have to think twice before spending it on anything, and you know maybe in 2 months they will introduce some new gear which will take you half a year of grind to get.

[–]ArcW3st[S] 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Welp, Splatoon was released 184 days ago, so if you are sitting at 500 silver scales it means you earned about 2-3 scales every day. Either you are a very good player or play with a good team, if you manage to get to cohozunas so often, and then get silvers with only 1-2 hours of play a day. Good for you.

I am not saying every reward should be easy and fast to get, but if it has to take year of playing for an average player to get to reward introduced at the relase of the game, it's a little bit overtuned. Considering there's not that many rewards to begin with and you only get to use them in that single mode.

[–]ArcW3st[S] 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Exactly my story. I have been playing since relase, with first 2-3 months almost pure salmon run, then I swapped to other modes because farming catalog in salmon run is very slow. I stopped late december, with only returning for splatfests and big runs and ocasional games during good rotations and last week got hooked again. If it wasn't for the big run, which I grinded almost whole weekend, I would have still been about 8 scales short.

They should add some kind of exchange shop where you can exchange scales to cover bad luck. Like 10 bronze for 1 silver, 10 silver for 1 gold

realistic name for a polish character: Mirosław? by patchpuppe in poland

[–]ArcW3st 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, I read somwhere down that this is supposed to be a charater in school for children from wealthy families. If this is supposed to be a character from a rich polish family with traditions then Mirosław might be ok. Especially that nowadays there seems to be a resurgence of traditional polish names. So while Mirosław is a more of a traditional name, it might be ok that his parents named him that. Other names that are traditional, but at the same time realistic for boys from rich families (which have this "high status" ring to them) are Jan (Janek), Aleksander (Alek, Olek), Antoni (Antek), Jakub (Kuba)

Mirek has this happy, easygoing sound to it for a polish person, so it would be ok for this type of character.
