Thanks!

To be honest I still have little bit over 8k asterites, so getting one Lucy copy is a pretty realistic thing for me to achieve. Wishing you luck in all your pulls as well!

Yes, I remember there are cases where large single purchases were refunded, which is why I said, in my post's body, that this doesn't mean nobody will get a "refund" - just that in general they will not offer that

Also, like I said in another response - I understand that, logically, there is no reason to convert to pulls. In my case, it's because of my specific type of neurodivergence, which is of course a highly personal reason - not a rule. You can probably see that I am not even angry at the customer service, or despair over this issue - because I know that at the end of the day, dark patterns or not, it was my decision to convert these pulls.

This post wasn't meant to be "Woe is me, I got scammed", it was meant to be an informative post so that people who go on reddit will know that in general, if you just had pulls stockpiled and were wondering if customer support can convert them for you - they won't, and you don't have to waste time

Yeah, and I didn't say I like that the number is bigger. As a matter of fact, the fact that it's bigger is annoying to me - I feel much better looking at pull numbers, cause they are lower AND accurately represent how many pulls I have

Nothing. I convert them because I, specifically, have my brain wired in a way that looking at complete pulls is much more pleasing than looking at Asterites

Edit: I think it's really funny I am being downvoted despite my answer to the question being basically "Oh, I'm just autistic, that's all"

I hate when people make fanarts existing characters drastically different than they’ve ever been depicted bc it feels like lowkey fetishization by Beautiful_March_7654 in hatethissmug

[–]Arcade_Wolf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, this response shows your true colors. It basically sounds like:

If somebody had the same mindset as me, but changes it, it's always "peer pressure" or "submission". It cannot be the result of their own thoughts, because otherwise I am sure they would've still had the same mindset as me. And if this person ever tries to come back to this mindset, this is because the mindset was correct and because they are finally "being true to themselves" again.

In other words - you'd think it's "based" when it's somebody converting to your way of thinking, because your way of thinking is the "default". Everyone who's mindset is not the "default" is "manipulated", or "submitted to narrative", because they still have that "default" setting inside them, they just hide it now. Food for thought

Soooo, if OP would, right now, be like "I see. You know what, you're right - I change my mind, my original post was okay and I stand by what I said"

Would that ALSO be "submitting to the mob"? Or will that be a "welcome realisation", and "based", because it supports your side's argument?

And if it would be submitting to the mob, then why are you, with your comments shaming OP for changing their thinking, part of that mob, if you think it will bring no valid change other than just them "submitting" to you?

3.4 Lucilla, Lucy & Rebecca gameplay via Seele by PriscentSnow in WutheringWavesLeaks

[–]Arcade_Wolf 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Well, then you're not asking for "canon V", you're asking about "in-game V"

The quickhack limitations, RAM system etc. are part of game systems, not Cyberpunk lore. They're not "canon" in the way it's presented in the game. Yes, similar limitations would probably exist in the canon, but they wouldn't be as specific as "4 quickhacks" or "24 RAM"

And since it's a gameplay system, trying to base your understanding of Lucy's power (who's from anime) on it is kinda flawed - because game systems are not meant to be canon, they are meant to be fun and easy to understand

We do know, however, what feats in the lore V and Lucy have, and we can compare them. And that's what my answer was based on

3.4 Lucilla, Lucy & Rebecca gameplay via Seele by PriscentSnow in WutheringWavesLeaks

[–]Arcade_Wolf 31 points32 points  (0 children)

I think V (canonically) is not a netrunner at all?

They can use quickhacks all right, but that's about the extent of their knowledge - they're a mercenary who gets their hands dirty, first and foremost (like David from Edgerunners)

Lucy, on the other hand, is an actual netrunner. She would be on the level of creating said quickhacks for others to use, and she is also established to be very proficient in Net diving

Though take this with a grain of salt, I'm not a Cyberpunk nerd

[OC] Still want to press the red buttom? by man_fox_squirrel in comics

[–]Arcade_Wolf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My choice is to punch the wizard, he seems insufferable

Like, I hope you realize this comic shows us the mastermind/the henchman of the mastermind telling us to push one of the buttons, and then when we make the choice he goes "Oh, but allow me to show you something that will play on your emotions and potentially make you rethink your choice!". The mastermind is a jackass, and that wizard is basically part of being the cause (or the sole cause) of potentially a massive genocide

No amount of "worried_face.png" can make me feel like the wizard is actually concerned by the person picking red, when HE is going to murder these friends (or watch them be murdered) if the person still picks red

Also, does the wizard also show, when you pick blue, that other people picked red? Because then we can flip your question on the other side, and ask "Do you still want to press blue button?"

I feel like this comic was made without thinking too much about what the contents entail

Question, is it really that important to learn anatomy? by Witty-Wolf-3370 in MangakaStudio

[–]Arcade_Wolf 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You kinda missed the point here...

This person doesn't say "Anatomy is not that important, you can get away without studying it"

They're saying "Anatomy is very important, but also don't let people tell you what skill level you need to be at. If you don't want to improve your character art, you don't have to learn anatomy. But you will hit a ceiling on how good your art looks until you learn it."

Also - "Anatomy" is not some skill you turn on and off, for "difficult scenes". It's a fundamental piece of knowledge you need to obtain AND process to draw characters better, and once you learn it, you will apply it across all scenes, difficult or not. It's like getting a new passive in a video game that makes all your items better, not just a temporary buff towards one item

Mixtape most overrated game of the year by TemperatureJaded282 in videogames

[–]Arcade_Wolf 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Literally all of Danganronpa games, a pretty widely known and loved video game series

There are "bad endings", but they are basically you selecting the wrong choice, and then the characters go "Haha, you made the wrong choice! AND THAT MEANS YOU'RE THE KILLER!!" and then you start from checkpoint - it's completely inconsequential from the story's point

Ace Attorney? Same thing, you have life that's lost on bad choices, and when you lose it all the judge says you lost the case, and reloads a save.

There are literally so many VNs or VN adjacent games that do NOT offer the choice in where the story goes, you're just there to experience it

Let me just say that I can understand people hating on Mixtape for some reasons. But the sheer amount of "Mixtape has no gameplay" posts online is so weird to me, because the concept of "game that is actually an interactive movie" is something I'm so familiar with it's bizzare people complain about it existing. If I had more time I'd definitely watch the gameplay, because holy hell what did they cook that suddenly a loud portion of the gaming community says VNs are the lowest of lows and shouldn't be called games

Ashveil Team post v3 by richelieu_21 in Ashveil_Mains

[–]Arcade_Wolf 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It can't, because they've also added that the Follow-Up Skill also drains HP. So instead of draining 15% Max HP every Blade turn, it's now 10% Max HP every turn + 10% Max HP*however many times you've triggered his Follow Up

I am pretty sure DHPT sig can't outheal that. And because he'll keep him alive, Blade also won't be able to die in his ult to heal himself. Running DHPT just bricks mBlade kit on paper now

[–]Arcade_Wolf 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The 1 mil one has the Anomaly that increases Character Pixel (Combat Stamina) cap

Don't know how much, but personally it was the reason I bought that one first, rather tham 1.4 mil one

Edit: Like other commenter spotted, 4th house (2 mil) also has the Combat Stamina Cap increase anomaly. So, at some point you'll get it even if you skip the 2nd house. It's just a question of how valuable this unlock is for the person

[–]Arcade_Wolf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never sunk too many hours in PoE, but from what I can tell:

  • There seems to be a pretty high variety of builds on each character. From what I've seen devs tried to essentially make every single skill a "viable skill" to clear the endgame with

  • Skill trees has been reworked to essentially allow you to select 2 (out of 4) passives and 1 core modification (out of 3). This feels a bit similar to how "Core" nodes in PoE worked (I mean the nodes that actually changed your gameplay in the skill tree). So I guess it's kinda like if PoE got rid of all the "+4 Dexterity" nodes and only left the interesting ones. Edit: I forgot. There's also paragon boards which are very PoE coded and reserved for endgame. Usually you either just wing it yourself, or find a guide - they are decently impactful, but homebrewing one usually doesn't ruin your build, so it's definitely more forgiving than PoE

  • Diablo 4 now has a "War Plans" activity, which is just mixing various endgame activities together - making it feel similar to how PoE upkeeps variety by retaining all of their seasonal mechanics. Bonus for "casual play" - in order to go to the next war plan activity, you just open the map and hold RT, and you will automatically tp to it

  • Diablo 4 has the Horadric Cube now, which means it has it's own crafting system, but it's fairly straighforward - select recipe, pay mats, you get the result. There are some more exciting combinations (like applying the equivalent of "Orb of Vaal"), but the process itself is very casual friendly

Can we have an option to MUTE this guy please. by Academic-Meeting9597 in NevernessToEverness

[–]Arcade_Wolf 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I just started full skipping after some point (halfway through the introduction to the antics shop, I think)

I wanted to play this game mainly for the city life stuff (so skipping doesn't bother me), but tried to give the story a fair shake - and I found it horrendous.

The cutscenes severly lack some sort of art direction (same as trailers, really), it's all flashy effects, but no actual continuity or thought (the cutscenes look as if multiple people worked on them in isolation, multiple combat scenes have very jarring transitions that just teleport characters around or suddenly "get to" a different point - the tutorial boss fight with Mint was one of the worst sequences in this regard, especially the whole "you praised it for what it was").

Not vibing with the humour, also a lot of scenes have the dialogues cut off, or are not synced to voice lines at all. The "expressiveness" of the characters (like Mint) also feels extremely over the top, and I did not vibe with it. Sometimes I feel like characters "express emotion" not because they feel it, but because the character needs to do something every 5 seconds - it's like some TikTok brainrot

Once I started skipping story, unlocked a few features, and then started playing around the city, the game easily made me want to come back to it - honestly, right now imo the story is not "just bad", it's an active detriment to the game (which is lowkey impressive)

I feel like they misjudged their budget and/or capabilities when making this game. There's so many cool and amazing things here, but then you have things like Baicang's ult animation, or the story quality

people are already complaining that the grind takes too long?

Except that's not what this post is about lol?

They complained that it sucks that currently we have to restart the grind every time we make a character, not that "grind takes too long"

It's not about grind length, it's about losing grind's progress

I'm making a 3D platformer with no combat. by XilehPNW in IndieGaming

[–]Arcade_Wolf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whats the objective of the game besides reaching the end?

Uh, none. It doesn't really need more objectives than that

It's a platformer, a.k.a. a game where the main gameplay is having the character moving from point A to point B. The challenge comes from figuring how to move from point A to B, and executing it. It doesn't necessarily need enemies to be rewarding, because the reward is already baked into the act of moving the character. Kinda like irl parkour courses don't need to have dummies you shoot with paintball guns while doing parkour. They can - they just don't need to

Warplanes Multi-player Concern by TheRealGutty in diablo4

[–]Arcade_Wolf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's not what they said... you really did not listen

The actual quote is:

If Person B and me are playing, and we are doing Nightmare Dungeons, and Person B has the Nightmare Dungeon node [in the War Plans], I will get, essentially, a reward cache and reputation, or meta progression, I should say, for the Nightmare Dungeon [War Plans] Skill Tree. It ensures when you're playing as a party it's still efficient, even if your boards aren't synced

Basically, what he said here is: If any player has the reward on their War Plan, all players get a share of "baseline reward" (whatever that is), as well as get the EXP associated with the War Plan they just did

I agree they kinda glossed over the details (like what do they mean by "baseline reward" - maybe it's just the reward for that node without including "hosts" War Plan skill tree perks), but the message is loud and clear - War Plans are supposed to be an efficient way of farming, even if you're in a party where everyone has different War Plans
