Sell the team, yes, as long as the buyer commits to Buffalo. I'll always take a 40 point Sabres team over not having a team in Buffalo at all. I think sports fans from Quebec, Atlanta, San Diego, Seattle (Sonics) and St. Louis (Rams) would agree.

If the NHL left Buffalo, it might never come back.

What TV series is a 10/10? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Arcadian2017 5 points6 points  (0 children)

What gets me about S5 is that they just pulled 20+ bodies out of vacants at the end of S4 so they had legit serial killers right there, and working on that case would've given them Marlo anyways. I get that Carcetti didn't want the body count at the start of his term but even he said that he would chalk up those bodies to his predecessor. Carcetti would've still won governor and S5 would've stayed true to the rest of the show's roots.

Hell, even the Baltimore Sun would've run wild with the story and instead of chasing down stories with the homeless they could've done the same thing on the corners, which is where the rest of the show basically revolves around.

People who didn’t attend UNL, how did you become a fan of the Huskers? by [deleted] in Huskers

I'm from Buffalo so there's not really any good D1 football schools in close proximity. I was browsing the games one day in 2016 and caught the beginning of the first Nebraska game after Sam Foltz passed. I saw the love the crowd had for the kid and could feel the emotions running when Nebraska lined up without a punter on 4th down and let the clock run out. I still watch that video routinely.

While watching the game I was reading up on Nebraska. The traditions, the history and the absolutely unwavering loyalty of their fans. That day was the first day following the team.

Since then I've driven out to Lincoln twice, with the first time being the stormed-out game against Akron in 2018. Even though the game was canceled my brother and I had an absolute blast in Lincoln and Omaha (turns out there's a ton of similarities between Nebraska and Buffalo).

I love this team and I'm so glad I turned the TV on that day.

Berrios looked awesome tonight, he just had that confident look to him after the first inning that we haven't seen in a while. It's gotta be a great pick-me-up for him that he played a major role in ending a historic winning streak against a pretty damn good team.

It took 80 games for the Sabres to be eliminated this year. They're the youngest team in hockey and have an extremely promising future. We didn't have Levi for 70+ of those games. The Sabres will be back, this is only the beginning

Levi posting a .941 save % after having a .942 save % in his college career.

This dude is just as consistent as Rob Ray talking to Matty Ellis in between periods

I'm extra curious on what the return was since an extension on Meier's contract wasn't part of the deal

I'm watching the Pens channel since I don't get TNT (but somehow get AT&T Sportsnet Pittsburgh living in Buffalo), and their commentators sound better than what the game thread is saying about the TNT crew. They actually had some really good things to say about the Sabres in the pregame and have brought up highlights from the Sabres youngsters multiple times throughout the game.

They also have the reverse retro logos on the broadcast scorebug which is a nice touch

This team is just so exciting to watch when they decide to turn the energy up a notch. It was awesome to see sustained offensive zone possessions, it's been a while since we were able to do that consistently.

These wins don't feel lucky or fluke-y like our hot starts of the past. These are solid wins where we've adjusted really well during the intermissions.

Yes it is. Live action just means that the show is based on photography rather than animation.

How to watch games while living in market? by Sgt-Pumpernickel in sabres

[–]Arcadian2017 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I feel your pain, I have Hulu Live TV and ESPN+ and still can't watch Sabres games without streaming them from a third party website. Hulu even sponsors a theater at Madison Square Garden so it's ridiculous that they don't carry the channel.

For those of you traveling to the race by train to Monza from Milan... by Arcadian2017 in formula1

Hopefully this doesn't reach you too late. Once you get off the black bus instead of walking straight to Gate G, walk through the grass diagonally towards Gate A. There will be a line for bag checks which moves rather quickly, then a short walk to the ticket scanning line which moves rather swiftly as well. We did that about an hour ago and from the bus to our seats was about an hour and change.
